RESULTS: Which Of The 2013 Superhero Movies Are You Most Looking Forward To?

With Man of Steel pushed back until June 2013, and Marvel confirming the release of Iron Man 3 and THOR 2 either side, it's going to be a great year to be a fan of comic book movies. While there's still a very slim chance that one or two more heroes will also hit the big screen in just under two years time, it's these three which currently have fans counting down the days. The question now of course is which of these you guys are most excited about. Is it the return of Superman in the hands of 300 and Watchmen director Zack Snyder? How about seeing Iron Man return with new helmer Shane Black after the less than perfect Iron Man 2? And what of the God of Thunder's return after the fantastic movie released earlier this year, reportedly in the capable hands of Brian Kirk? These were the questions I posed to you yesterday, and you voted in your thousands! Despite Marvel Studios' great track record, it seems that it's a certain Man of Steel you're most looking forward to seeing...

STARRING:

Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman
Amy Adams as Lois Lane
Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent
Diane Lane as Martha Kent
Michael Shannon as Zod

RELEASE DATE: June 14th, 2013.

Whoa, DC won. Can't believe it. O_O
Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to MOS the most. IM3 and Thor 2 are very close behind though.

No surprise there. Marvel may have the most marketable characters on earth but none of them compare to the popularity and overall fame of Superman and Batman.

oh really i bet thats based on what Bryan Singer did with Superman. Superman is not boring at all

@JWStubner

well actually Man of Steel won not just because of his well kown but actually this is a reboot a new start for Superman. thats why he won this time cause Zack Snyder going to have Superman kick some ass and alot of people been waiting for that for fricking years for that to happen.

The only reason why I didnt pick Superman is because he's been seen on the big screen A DOZEN times, compared to Thor which has been only seen once with the sequel gettin a new director and Iron Man thats been seen twice and gettin a new director for the sequel as well.

But I do agree that Superman is very boring as a character. He's too generic.

I gotta go with Thor & Iron Man. Now if Supes was fighting DD then i would be tad bit different but it would still be Marvel. JUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't choose! Wanna see Thor go on a journey within the other realms with Three Warriors, Sif, Balder (Beta Ray Bill?) Iron Man battle out magic and maybe have mutiple side villians after him as always (Ghost, Unicorn, ect.) And Superman.... Being Superman! Don't disappoint 2013
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 9/3/2011, 8:36 AM
I chose IM3, sorry Zack Snyder is a phenomenal director but, no matter how many comics I read, no matter how many movies come out, I still think the character is lame.
I mean he's invincible, and don't start that "Well Batman beat him in these series" No, Supes is invincible, it's sad when a character's villains are more interesting than the character itself, I don't see how he still has fans.
BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 9/3/2011, 8:37 AM
I chose Superman. I also would've chosen Superman if the poll was "Which Of The Announced 2013 Superhero Movie Are You Most Worried About?"

Superman, Iron Man 3, and then Thor 2.

But I'm really excited for Supes. It looks like it's going to be amazing. Finally some destruction in a Supes film.
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 9/3/2011, 8:40 AM
@darkknightlegend Well, X-Men saved the CBM Industry, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck. I mean go re-watch it, and tell me you like it, for reasons other than nostalgia.

LOL Marvel Fan Boys saying Superman is to over-powered is [frick]ing hilarious. Thor has way more powers and way more powerful and OP then Supes. Also to say he is too generic is retarded, he was the first, the original Superhero everyone after copied him so of course to morons that would seem generic.

level1paladin - 9/3/2011, 8:57 AM
Surprised me.
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 9/3/2011, 9:06 AM
@Dmon Well, considering I like X-men Avengers, etc more than Teen Titans, Justice League, etc, I guess I'm a Marvel Fanboy, but I'm not saying I don't like Batman, and a couple others, but face it, Superman is generic, if a decent writer wrote a storyline, where Supes got his ass beat, and let's say, (insert a DC character) had to come in and beat the shit out of the Antagonist to help Supes, I'd love it, but I've never seen that happen. There is no doubt in my mind that there is a power so incredible that it would take the whole Justice League team to defeat it, when Supes could just tap it on the hand and it would be destroyed. Now I don't care for Thor, but at least there are beings more powerful than him, that can kill him. Supes was cool in the 60's, but he doesn't hold up to the characters of today, ability, and story wise.
DudeGuy
DudeGuy - 9/3/2011, 9:07 AM
@Dmon
lol exactly. marvelites are always saying how Thor,Silver Surfer and Hulk can kick Supes ass. but somehow they say that superman is way to overpowered. Doesnt make the slightest bit of sense to me.
Dmon
Dmon - 9/3/2011, 9:31 AM
@gambitfreak that scenario has happened many times. And I think you don't read DC because there are many more powerful then Superman the list is to big to post. You must be thinking of Pre-Crisis Superman. Also the Superman has always needed help taking on Darkseid and the agents of Apokolips.

What about in Sinestro Corps War? Or in Infinite Crisis?
satanors

No surprise for me. I voted for man of steel. Though i am a marvel comic fan, marvel movies seem to have fizzled out after Iron Man-1.
Hulk, Iron man-2, Thor and Cap movies were just average at best and not upto expectation. They certainly did not 'wow' the non-cbm general public who are the majority. The only reason i am going to watch 'The Avengers' is because Joss wheadon is directing it. If it was not the case, i would've probable watched it online when available. BRING BACK THE MATRIX AND SERENITY/FIREFLY.

Everyone's saying that they've seen Thor and Iron Man on the big screen before, but how many times has Superman as a character been there and done that?

GPoindexter9000
GPoindexter9000 - 9/3/2011, 1:22 PM
I am in no way a Superman fan, but I respect him. Without him comic books wouldn't be here. He is the orginal, however in my opinion he was perfect for his time. He is too powerful and has no need for a team. I mean the dude is just invincible. I am more of a Marvel fan, but I like DC characters that aren't Supes or Bats. I like the milestone stuff, GL, Flash, Vertigo stuff, Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, black canary, cyborg...so I don't just go for Marvel, I'm just saying to me Superman hasn't aged well.
GPoindexter9000
GPoindexter9000 - 9/3/2011, 1:25 PM
Also if I had voted I would've voted for Thor...for those who say he is overpowered to I will say...no he isn't. He has never moved a planet...
