Similarities Between Man Of Steel And Christ

This is not a huge organized conspiracy, but it is interesting. Hit the jump to see just how similar Kal-El's story and Christ's story are.

Ok so I'm not trying to say that Man of Steel took the story from the life of Christ but there are several similarities. Starting from the beginning:

Jor-El kicked Zod the general of the army out of Krypton.

Kal's birth is a miracle and he is sent from Krypton to Earth to be the savior.

It is established that he is destined to save mankind.

His conception was miraculous.

"This the work of god."

He saved the Pete Ross even though he was a sinner and was blasting him with insults.

He had many temptations to hit the other kid back or even save his father, but he resisted.

"You will give the people an ideal. They will fall they will stumble but in time they will join you in the sun."

He held back his powers but still peformed "miracles" growing up.

When he was 33 he revealed his power and saved the Earth.

Now as I said I don't think this is making fun or copying Christ. I don't think Jesus and Satan threw each other through buildings. Also I don't think Christians should take offense. I myself am a Christian and I quite like the idea of Superman having somewhat unnoticeable parallels with Christ. I posted this article to show the similarities, not start up trouble, so all comments that I deem offensive will be deleted.

If there are any other similarities that you guys find, please post them. Don't forget to leave a comment and thumbs up. Avengers72 out.

And yes I understand similar articles have been posted but only covering the end of the film.

I really hope they do the Death of Superman in one of the sequels, purely because of all the Christ parallels in this movie.

Religion... Is a useless husk of a thing that should never have come into existence.

That said, I spotted these similarities and couldn't give less of a shit. It's a great film. 'Nuff said.

Main Similarity #1: Neither King James Version nor Man of Steel respected the source material.

I think Snyder made too many connections to Christ in this film. While Superman is God-Like, he is not God. Superman is not real. Point blank. I feel people take this stuff to seriously...way to seriously.

Uhhhh wow, a form of entertainment that has Christian parallels? A-MAZE-ING!
Everyone who are Christ haters need to calm down and not be so offended by religion being "pushed" onto them, all of the Christ-crazed supporters need to not be scared that Snyder is trying to replace Christ with Superman, and everyone needs to realize that whether you like it or not: Christianity and Christ as a historical figure completely changed the route of Western Civilization and the majority of the rest of the world. So yeah, the guy might pop up here and there in our entertainment and overriding themes.

I noticed this while watching Man of Steel. I thought the Christ allusions were more direct and clever than the ones found in Superman Returns.

Superman had way cooler powers than Supernab though he can resurrect himself. Make a poll. My vote goes to Superman.
