This is why I think Absolute Justice is a mistake. In a world without superheros there is a group in the past that no one heard of. How does no one remember a guy flying around dressed as a Hawk or a girl in spandex red, white and blue?

good story with the facts! Damm!

I'm still looking forward to this big-time!

It has to do with Sandman's visions I would imagine. It's gonna be good. NOT happy with Hawkman. Looks, in between campy and almost good.

I still don't like how they tried to redesign Superman's costume. The colors are good, but some of the details, and the guy who was in the suit was just too fricken' weird for words. Superman doesn't need low-rider shorts on his costume, nor does he need a belt that looks fake as hell...with anonther "S" on it. And that "S" on his chest *shakes his head* That STU-pid F***-ing "S"!! It was too small, unnecessarily raised, and looks wonky as hell. I thought they were going to make the shape of the "S" in the diamond look better than the Christopher Reeves version, but they made an on-purpose epic fail.
...Sorry, I'll stop ranting now.

I'm with you on the belt r0r5ch4ch84 but the 'S' actually looks good I think.
Still looking forward to Smallville tomorrow.

Dr. Fate probably used his magic to make the world forget
about the JSA! I would think that will be the explanation!

Yes. It obviously belongs to The Star-Spangled Kid (later Skyman). All-Star Squadron and Infinity Inc. were two of my favorite titles back in the day.
If any of you think that the question won't be posed by Clark or Ollie as to why no one has ever heard of them I think you're going surprised. The topic will definitely come up.
AS FOR THE SMALLVILLE HATERS: The show may get a little repetitive and deviate from the comics, but at least it's nothing too irreparable like making everyone ten years younger than the previous film or giving Clark an illegitimate child, for crying out loud. As for their being no real sense of consequence, the only actual consequences from the film series were that Clark didn't get to keep his high school crush and his father died; both of which have happened on Smallville. Hell, Superman reversed the rotation of the Earth (almost twice) to undo everything else that did go wrong. The film series had five outings (with the same villain EVERY time) at only 10 and half hours total and still had an amazing amount of flaws. The television series has ran approximately 129 hours so far with their hands extensively tied, creatively, and has easily offered much more than 11 hours of enjoyable footage. If you think about it, if they stretched the films into 13 times more than they have (about 65 films!) there would probably be an amazing amount of horrendous filler. I don't think that DC has offered an even close to perfect television series, but as long as you want to enjoy what they've given us it's been a pretty decent series. Nothing that has been made in any medium has stuck to canon, so if it's too beneath you then just go ahead hold your breath for a ten year long television series that offers exactly what you're expecting and let me know how that works out for you. Some people like certain comics and some people don't, but they don't spend extra hours out of their days explaining why everyone else's comics suck. I've been collecting comics for almost 30 years and I don't love everything they've done on Smallville, but I've enjoyed the show enough to be glad that at least we were offered SOMETHING that brings some great characters to life. I say either enjoy it with the rest of us or just stop paying attention already because the repetitive bitching is getting old!

@access, @Relevant, and @JasonTodd: Appreciated guys.

@teabag, I actually have no problem with people not liking the show. I completely understand the reasons why they wouldn't. In fact, I have skipped an entire season a couple of times and then caught back up when the show started looking promising again (i.e. "Justice" & "Legion"). And I would definitely say that 8 seasons is enough to consider you a valid critic of the show. There are just so many people out there who just wait for any updated news on the show and just go into the exact same rant over and over again. If you're not interested why waste so much time on it, you know? There's a difference between valid concerns and just bitching for the sake of bitching. But I definitely understand where you're coming from -and thanks, I really hope the season has a lot more to offer myself.
