According to EW's Michael Ausiello, Laura Vandervoort is returning to "Smallville" in season 10 as Supergirl.

Writes Ausiello, "Vandervoort—who left the show at the end of season 7 only to return briefly the following fall to wrap up Supergirl’s story—will be back for one episode (tentatively scheduled to air in October).
"Smallville" and "V" are both produced by Warner Bros. It’s safe to say the actress’ comeback was signed off faster than a speeding bullet."

In the same piece he mentions that Vandervoort joins John Schneider as former cast members making guest appearances this coming year.

They better not go with her teaching Clark how to fly though rather he learnt himself

it will be interesting to see how they bring johnathen back. flashback, dream sequence, or time travel. im guessing dream sequence for now.

zephyr@ true. that might get a little confusing, although they did say it was an undisclosed number of episodes so could be all three.

I can't wait!!! I'm a huge Supergirl/Vandervoort fan that's dying to find out where she's been. Cauz she left to go find the Kandorians, who shortly after appeared on earth with Major Zod. Are they gonna answer that question or bury it?

she played a good supergirl...a bit annoying sometimes, but good. if they have her teach clark to fly I will be PISSED!
From the sounds of things though, it appears like they are pulling out all the stops for the Final season and I for one can't wait.

Michael Rosenbaum was the coolest thing on Smallville,
EVER!

Well, except for all the extremely beautiful girls
that have graced the show with their sexy presence!
