Speaking with MovieFone, Kate Bosworth - perhaps best known for playing Lois Lane in the 2006 film Superman Returns - says that she hasn't thought about feeling like a sequel was necessary, saying that she saw every film experience she's had as an individual one. She also briefly comments on her excitement for the next Superman film Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. For more from Bosworth, click the link below.

With "Man of Steel" coming out, did you feel, "We did a really good job with 'Superman Returns" and we should've had a chance to make another?"

I didn't really think about it too much, you know. Because I think about each film experience as an individual one and then kind of move on, you know what I mean? I'm actually excited to see it. I really think Amy Adams is a great actress and I like comic book films.

Many thanks to the folks over at the Man Of Steel 2013 FB Page for the heads up.

Man Of Steel is set to hit theaters June 14th, 2013.

Bosworth acted well in Returns, she just didn't make a good Lois.

I never understood the fascination with this character.
She's just a news reporter.

@Headlopper
Lois Lane is a fictional character, the primary love interest of Superman in the comic books of DC Comics. Created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, she first appeared in Action Comics #1 (June 1938).
Lois is Superman's chief romantic interest and, for fifteen years in the DC continuity, was his wife. Like Superman's alter ego Clark Kent, she is a reporter for the Metropolis newspaper, The Daily Planet.
Lois' physical appearance was originally based on Joanne Carter,[1] a model hired by Siegel and Shuster who would later marry Siegel.
Lois' personality was based on Torchy Blane, a female reporter featured in a series of films from the 1930s. Siegel took her name from actress Lola Lane, who portrayed Torchy in one of the middle entries.[1][2] She is also based on real life journalist Nellie Bly.

She was a horrible Lois Lane. Partially because I think she was too young to play Lois at the time. She must have been what, around her early twenties?

Who cares what she thinks of MOS. Her and everyone else involved with that 'Stalkerman Returns' film need to be forgotten!

Btw- Bosworth sucked as Lois. But hey- at least she ACTED. That is more than I can say for Routh (sorry routh fans :D) LMAO

Snyder is a devout Superman fan, he KNOWS the source material. Back in '06 that HACK Brian Singer admitted he was never a Superman fan.

Wouldn't Superman's ejaculation rupture a mere mortal female's uterine wall?

Superman needs to hook up with a woman of his caliber.

Him being with Lois is a vain attempt to vicariously feel 'human'.

Oh yeah... he's not real.

Nevermind.

It's a shame she got so much hate. She's not a bad actress, she just was miscast in that type of Superman film.

Oh and her saying she hasn't thought about it much, psh. That's just her saving face. OF COURSE she wanted a sequel, as did all the other jerks involved with that abortion of a Superman film. They all believed it was a great film...honestly no joke lol. Especiall Frank Langella and Spacey. God they kept going on in interviews about how much Superman fans will love it. WhAt they SHOULD have said is that only the psychotic donner-fans and people who love boring soap operas would like it

Its funny, I liked everything about that movie except her as Lois Lane and Routh as Superman. THe way Singer related it to the original Donner film, right down to the music, was great. The end with Supes lifting an island made of kryptonite, was stupid, but the movie ad a lot to offer. Still, she ain't no Margot Kidder.

Singer can't direct to save his life (he was lucky the writing and cast was so good on Unusual Suspects because that probably would've sucked as well). And before anyone brings up X1 and 2, they were slightly over average, especially compared to a director that gets comics and knows the source material (Raimi, Goyer, Del Toro...even Nolan, who took the mysticism out of Batman but still got Batman and his world at it's core).

And really, now that I think of it, even Xmen had a stacked cast. Combining that with the natural draw of Xmen Singer would've had to monumentally mess up to make that franchise fail.

And Singer STILL has yet to make a hit that wasn't an already established franchise.

while she's not my ideal choice for Lois, i don't think she's to blame..or any of the cast. the DIRECTION, or i should say MIS-direction, is solely to blame.

Bosworth's got a pretty respectful acting chops..Bryan Singer's the hack, here.
