I usually use RT as a reference before I go watch a film, but honestly, Superman Returns got 75% and Man of Steel 56%? Maybe it's time to stop giving a shit what RT critics say. I watched MOS and while it definitely has its flaws, its strong points definitely make up for them.

I can't handle the fact that Supes kills

Its not who he is, this doesnt scream the definite version of Superman for many reasons

"alien in red cape [frick]s shit up"

DC doesn't need a JL movie,MOS2 could introduce other characters and have him fight along Supes against Darkseid, that way you save yourself some time instead of introducing every character.Goyer will be writing it so if people liked how rushed MOS felt...they're going to love a MOS featuring the JL without any character development or their respective introductions.I know I wouldn't give two [frick]s about it.The movie doesn't need to be academy award material, just show us what us, the fans, want to see. Batman had the luck to have critics drooling over the plot and the score, but Batman got lucky... and by lucky I mean that it's the movie that started this whole "THE MOVIE HAS TO BE ACADEMY AWARD WORTHY OR ELSE IT WILL SUCK" trend. I don't care how "good" the movie is as long as I,as a fan, enjoy it.MOS doesn't need to prove anything to the critics,I loved it almost as much as I loved Avengers.

@Bender
Supes has killed in the comics, though he only does it under the direst of circumstances (such as the saving innocent lives). So, this actually is accurate to the character. I believe that this is part of the evolution of the film character: to learn how to be both "super" and a good "man". It's not like he's flying around chanting "snap yo fingers, snap yo necks!"

Superman HAS killed before,in comics and in the animated movies...and just to mention the most famous:Doomsday. He knew he had to kill Doomsday, and he did...well,kind of,but I'm sure most of you know how that went.
And correct me if I'm wrong but, even if those are clones...he did kill the shit out of them

Of course people don't remember Superman killing Zod in Superman 2. That would destroy their fake crusade against Man of Steel. Hell, after Lois kills Ursa, her and Superman actually have a laugh over it.

Watching it again for the third time today, it gets better with every viewing. The critics are over reacting and drama queens. The best cbm up to date.

I usually check out reviews for a movie before seeing it, and a lot of the time I#'d agree with the general consensus..and even if I didn't, I'd usually be able to see where the negative reactions would be coming from..but not with MOS...not to that extent. IMO they simply got this one wrong and that's that.
MrReese
MrReese - 6/17/2013, 4:41 AM
@Ror I'll read their reviews but not take it to heart whether it be a good review or not. It's all personal opinion really. They praised IM3 & I hated it.Talked shit about MoS & I enjoyed it.Not a perfect movie by any means but it was still a good film.

@MrReese That's the nature of Trolling hard. Once it starts, there's no thought behind what they say. Pretending to be in love with the Donner films in which Superman HAPPILY kills villains with no powers. Now we're supposed to believe these people are disappointed that Superman snapped Zod's neck.

They do the same thing with The Dark Knight. Pretend they like the Burton films to attack the Nolan films. Batman would never do this and Batman would never do that. Then you remind them that Burtons Batman is a murderer. Frogs and crickets.
MrReese
MrReese - 6/17/2013, 4:50 AM
@Bropous The Donner films served their purpose at that time of age.Of course it blows it outta the water they didn't have the tech they have now.I still like the Donner films. It's like comparing TDK Trilogy to 89's Batman...you can't.

P.S Lex has to clean up Metropolis after the events of MoS.It only makes sense.Maybe not as the main villain but he damn sure has to be in the sequel.

In terms of 'no choice' to kill Zod... Erm, he could've just flew upwards..? Taken Zod out of the building? Like he'd been doing for the past 10-15 minutes?
