Was not expecting her but its a good choice, she may be 36 but she sure doesn't look like it.
Aaaand, FIRST!

If there's any character that the fans are waiting to see cast; it's the villain(s).

Yeah she looks much much yonger than 36...I didn't even know she was that old until i Wikied her..I honestly thought she was like 28-30 years old at most.

I have great confidence in her, she has the eyes that Lois needs. Sexy, seductive, attractive eyes.

I think its a good choice she is a good actress and has a young face she can play much younger than what she really is. I just saw The Fighter and I did not think she looked 36 she looks more like late 20s to 30. I know a bunch of people on this site wanted Rachel "covered in moles" McAdams as Lois Lane but hell she is only 3 years younger and I think McAdams looks older then Amy Adams. Also the worst part of Sherlock Holmes was Rachel McAdams and you want her as Lois Lane come on. Amy Adams has been nominated for several awards and is a much better actress.

I love the cast.
Adams out acted everyone in the audition for the part, I am sure of it.
I'd rather have a good actress play Lois, then a young breast implanted moron.

@SHAZAM171 I don't understand how that is a bad cast. Amy adams could carry the whole film if she had to, and she is only Lois Lane

casting this old bag as lois will kill this movie. Bring back Routh and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as lois

Really Pauly? Hatcher? There's a woman who looks her age.
Weren't you the one [female dog]ing about the very slight crows feet Adams has?

Well look at Hatcher

ahahahahahh real monsters

Anyway dude, who cares about the boob size of an actress? you should care about her ACTING ability.
Dmon
Dmon - 3/28/2011, 5:26 PM
@paulyd3 your hopeless Teri Hatcher has no boobs she is pushing them together in that pic I have seen her nude in The Cool Surface they are very small. They actually appear to have about the same size chest. Though Amy's appear more perky to me. But that does not matter to me I dont want a porn star I want a good actress and though I like Hatcher she is pretty much just a TV actress

SHAZAM171 - 3/28/2011, 5:41 PM
@Frogsplash46 - MATT BOMER would've been my Choice as Superman.

OLIVIA WILDE AS LOIS LANE...

Jeff Bridges as Pa Kent...

Billy Zane as Lex Luthor...

Anne Archer as Ma Kent...

CGI Brainiac with Laurence Fishburne's voice

She definately looks the part, just man, cant get over the age difference. by the time they do a sequel, she will be frickin 40!
patriautism
patriautism - 3/28/2011, 5:58 PM
@mynnDAWG - Dude what are you talking about? She has been nominated for 3 Oscars.
About Enchanted, MOST critics praised her in Enchanted, as well as the movie. The movie even has a 92 percent on Rotton Tomatoes( that's only 2 percent under Dark Knight)..
So I think you might need to use a better example than that if you want to discredit her.

@boostergold76 remember Superman barley ages, Lois ages normally. It would be normal for her to appear older after a few years, if they want to be true to the source that is.

i love the idiots [female dog]ing about amy adams, lets see what YOU "oh so talented film scouts" can come up with for a cast. Till you do, shut the hell up and play with your toys.

it's good that she looks older because the one in superman returns was too young...

oh, and you morons really need to get off the boobs crap...i want an actress to be a good performer, not just some eye candy...

@SHAZAM - well then I'm glad that you aren't the casting director :) Besides perhaps your pick of Olivia Wilde(I'm pretty indifferent about Amy Adams), I am pretty happy with Snyders casting choices.

@The GODDAMNEDDaddysmalls - Come on Dude, Really?? This is what blogs are for, to voice our opinions. You don't like what some of us has to say... then scroll down and don't read. That's all you have to do. And calling us idiots and telling us to play with our toys?? Really?? Last I checked name calling is probably the most immature thing to do.
Oh, and as much as I know it's not gonna happen... I came up with a pretty damn good cast up above. Academy awards or not.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY

Who cares how man Oscar nominations the cast have? What a stupid argument?

The Superman Returns cast had Oscar nominees and 3 Oscar wins. Who frickin cares?
patriautism
patriautism - 3/28/2011, 7:22 PM
@LeonardShelby who cares? Uhhh directors, producers, writers, and pretty much the whole rest of the industry, since they're the ones that comprise the academy.
That's what the academy is (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences)..
Yes Superman Returns actors had nominations, and wins, but it was for the 2 best actors in the movie (Spacey and Langella) who are considered 2 of the best actors in the industry..
You can't seriously believe that oscar nominations shouldn't matter when it comes to casting an actor or actress.

Spacey was the only good thing about SR. Langella was good too, but the movie was way too much of a Donner tribute for it's own good. I'm glad this movie will be something different.

@Paulyd3- Give it up man, Routh's washed up. It's CAVILL'S turn.

@Dmon and neoams- Thank you both for your wonderful rebuttals to that guy. Some people just don't wanna let go of the past.

Far as I'm concerned Hollywood has lost the ability to cast the right actors for the right parts when it comes to CBM. Someone above said Matt Bomer for Superman, the guys short as hell and slim as frak, how is he Superman? He's be perfect for..

And as for Henry Cavill, Jesus no way is he Superman material, he's far too ordinary in stature and so short in height. He'd have been a way better choice for...

They Had the best guy for the Superman part in Joe Manganiello, he has the face, the height and the Physique to put all previous Superman in the shade and finally get the comic character looking like he's supposed to on screen.

Now they've gone and cast Amy Adams as Lois Lane, a stupid decision that's split fans down the middle as some simply agree becasue she's a good actress! Well she's way too old at 36 and wouldn't get two films out of her looking as aged as she does and fighting the crows legs on her face. The woman is obviously not Lois Lane but far more suited for...

Cast Lois in her late 20's so you can get some movies out of her and give the franchise a chance. Perfect for the role would have been..

She's spot on perfect for the role and young with gazillions of talent. This isn't rocket science, it's just common sense, something Hollywood has simply lost over the ages.

Perry White is easy..

Alec Baldwin hands down, he's simply grown into this kind of character over the years and to pick anyone else would just be missing a great opportunity.

And as for Superman's parents, well a lot of fans wanted Joe Hamm for the role as supermnan himself but he's way too old for the part and far more suited for the Jor El role as you can see..

With the lovely MILF Carla Guigino at his side, this would be one awesome looking paring onscreen whenever they use these guys for flashbacks.

And lets not forget Jimmy Olsen, only guy in mind to hit the nail on the head is...

Rupert Grint, all grown up from Harry Potter and ready to start his journey through Hollywood. He's be the best Jimmy Olsen ever by a mile!

Like I said before, this isn't Rocket Science, it's just common sense!
