"I can't say whether he will punch someone directly in the face, just because I think that's a spoiler. I will say that Superman, in the movie that we're talking about making, that he is a pretty physical cat. He does some physical shit. Look, I don't want to judge the movie, but I like to see Superman kicking some ass."

"We're looking at some other places to film, but right now it's not all down. I think we are going to be in Vancouver, but we're definitely looking at other places around to do some other work."

In fairness to Snyder, to say that he will punch someone in the face reveals that he will be facing a super powered villain so I understand him not wanting to say. Good question though!

You're not a fan of John Cassady grif? :) His covers have been the only decent thing since JMS took over (then rapidly left) the title, and I'm kind of bored of only ever using pictures by Alex Ross. DC just do not have the same level of artistic talent as Marvel, lol. I can find a great image of Cap or Spidey by different artists for every article I post about them!

Because it is cheaper to film there. Besides the tax breaks, it ends up allowing the studio to put more into a movie due to costs.

I really hope this movie does something with Superman. I really don't want to see a movie where they say...

Superman has laser eyes... okay shoot something fast because the movie is almost over... oh wait, we forgot about his freeze breath WHAT NOW... I know, gas... we will blow something up and have him do it up.

At least in Superman 2 he used his powers in the process of the story. I think it is a waste of film to just "use" the powers of these characters to just use the powers. There should be reason for their efforts or it just seems like a throw-away. IMO of course.

I like Snider, so I am waiting for this. But I am going to try and keep from building it up in my head so I don't have another X-men Origins: Wolverine moment. Though, when I played the game for the movie the cut scenes were more bad-ass than the damn movie lol... BECAUSE THERE WAS BLOOD and I don't know... FIGHTING AND AWESOMENESS IN IT... though the game play got boring after a while. Okay... WAY off topic... SUPERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!

SR had an bad actor who had the physical stature, but they didn't have him doing any ass-kicking. Now they have an good actor without the physical stature that is going to have to kick some ass :-( By physical stature I am referring to overall height and frame. They're going to have to cast some small villains or figure out how to make Cavill look more imposing to pull off the kick-ass Man of Steel. Yeah, I'm sure they thought about that when they cast him, but damn he is wimpy and I just can't see him as a kick-ass Superman.

Kes and chubakka, i think the gay porn movie 300 should of tipped people off that Synder isn't exactly on the straight and narrow.

Nothing wrong with that, he's an absolutely great director and Watchmen was filmed perfectly. Just pointing out what i consider the obvious.

@113 no doubt. I really enjoy his work. I was stoked when I found out he was taking the helm of Superman. He really knows how translate the source material into a great film. Sucker Punch looks like it has potential too.

@chubakka yeah i'm actually pretty excited for Sucker Punch, it looks like it'll be really entertaining and it'll give me a better sense of how Synder has grown as a director since 300 and Watchmen...I'm a huge Superman fan and I have hope that Synder will revive the character for the general public cause the character never died for me.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Seems like this interviewer was the one of the few interviewers with enough balls to ask Zack Snyder DIRECTLY about Superman actually punching someone. I like how the interviewer went personal about how boring the last film was. Most of the other interviewers never really went that personal with Snyder about it. I'm glad Supes will FINALLY be a real MAN in a movie. No more crying, emo who doesn't fight. ;D

@Ranger- Don't worry buddy ;D Snyder has it all planned out. Remember how buff he got that one guy to be in the movie "300" ?

Cavill will get ripped, he's already been sent to a Gym to buff up and Snyder told Cavill himself he needs to buff up. It's going to happen.

Plus at least we got Cavill now, he's twice the actor Routh could ever hope to be.

@NinjaCarm- Dude I totally agree with you. I feel your pain. Took asshole-Hollywood 5 damn films to finally figure out- "oh well gee maybe Superman should punch someone...duuuuurrr" lol. Hopefully they let Superman punch someone this time.

For people wondering if he's gay, he's not. He has a wife. The first time I heard him talk I thought the same thing... He seems like he'd have a much deeper voice than he does though.

Him talking about Superman just gets me more excited for it. He's going to make the Superman I've been wanting to see for a long time. :D

@Vermillion- I thought the same thing the first time i heard Snyder speak in an interview, lol. He just seems like he'd have a deeper voice but it sounds a bit girly. Nonetheless Snyder is awesome and will make a kick-butt Superman film.
