Michael Bay And Jonathan Liebesman's NINJA TURTLES Gets A New Release Date

Just one week after Michael Bay announced that Transformers star Megan Fox will play 'April O'Neil' in Ninja Turtles, the controversial reboot has now been given a slightly later release date in 2014. Hit the jump for details!

Paramount Pictures have today announced that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, Ninja Turtles, will no longer be released on May 16th, 2014. It will instead open in theatres THREE WEEKS LATER on June 6th, 2014. Not a huge delay by any means, but no specific reason for the shift has been revealed. Its major competition now is Jurassic Park 4 which is set to be released the following week. Michael Bay is producing the Jonathan Liebesman helmed movie which will see the turtles brought to life with the use of motion capture CGI. Megan Fox is currently the only confirmed cast member. @ToTheManInTheColdSweat, it's still happening and they're putting together a nice cast. Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston are currently signed on, with Juliette Binoche reportedly in talks to join.

It starts filming next month.

Jonathan Liebesman directs action just as exciting as Michael Bay does, but the characters in his films are boring and just plain heartless.

I'm sorry, I just can't get over Megan Fox being cast as April O' Neil. It just proves that Bay knows nothing about TMNT. Whether you like him or not, Bryan Singer at least familarized himself with X-Men by watching the cartoon and reading the comics. But Bay has probably never watched a single episode of any incarnation of TMNT. The only proof I need of that is in the leaked script, Bay has seemed to give Raph Mikey's personality.

Is bay the worst director in the world no thats reserved for uwe boll dudes made some enjoyable flicks like The rock and Bad Boys but rest of his movies have been shit. So I have no faith in this movie but I hope I am suprised just like I was with IDW comic book and the toon series which are both pretty good.

I'm with CaptainObvious the longer this peice of shit is put off the better. in the Post Avengers film industry competition among comic book movies and other summer blockbusters is only going to get more and more intense Conditions up comic book fans thrive in and Shitty Movies by Michael bay don't.
