The Argument For Kang

The Argument For Kang

Hey everyone, Hulksta here, and I'm here to lay down the solid argument as to why Marvel should have Kang as a villain in a future MCU movie. Read on true believers!

Hey everyone, as you may or may not know (and if you don't know you're not in CBM Chat often enough) Kang is my all-time favourite Marvel villain. I know that people often times forget half the stuff Kang has done, but he is a malicious and downright maniacal. That's not just it (otherwise this would be one helluva short article) so I'm going to get a bit more detailed.

HE DID WHAT NO(?) VILLAIN COULD

OK, so at the time of The Kang Dynasty's publishing, no Marvel villain had ever actually conquered the world through sheer force. Dr. Doom had through amplifying Purple Man's powers, but while that was mind control, Kang did so with sheer brute force.

I could be wrong, correct me in the comments as you love to do.

The idea though that Kang could systematically wipe out Earth so effortlessly and easily, even essentially 'defeating' the Avengers illustrated just how immensely powerful, resourceful, and uncompromising Kang can be. While that victory by the time travelling conquerer was short lived, it's a landmark moment in Marvel comics that has stayed with me to this day and has ketp KAng as my favourite Marvel villain for years now.

A UNIQUE VILLAIN

Unlike a lot of other villains, Kang differs in slight, but interesting ways. While he has a superior intellect, and is a master tactician; he also has access to many different war machines from throughout time.

Also, unlike other villains, Kang actually has multiple versions of himself roaming through time from his multiple jumps through time and space. So The Avengers have actually fought many different itterations of this villain over the years.

What always interested me about Kang is that he jumps to an earlier time to fight a version of The Avengers that he thinks he can beat. He couldn't always, and in The Kang Dynasty he actually did; but it's still an interesting concept, that if you can't beat your foes in the present, go to the past where they're weaker.

A VILLAIN TO EXCEED THEM ALL

While Loki has been a fan-favourite villain up to this point, I think Kang poses a far more serious threat, meeting or in other ways exceeding Loki in terms of villainy. Like I mentioned previously, Kang has succeeded where others have failed; and ultimately that'd be a fun dynamic to bring to the MCU.

It's also of my belief that Kang, moreso then any other villain, could reset the MCU. If that was an option Marvel wanted to go with.

Thanks again for reading guys. Do you think Kang would make a great villain in the MCU? Sound off where you normally do. Please thumb this article up if you liked it.
