@Ror

Same here. Born in the mid 80's, I loved the turtle movies as well as the cartoon. Even owned some of the VHS releases of the cartoon......

But this movie just seems....wrong. Call it instinct, i dunno

You guys remember this gem? The turtles teach some kids that they should only buy drugs from reputable dealers or something like that.

McGee, I heard you can do that without even having to watch the movies. I don't know if you can get paid for it though.

although bay has been proved as "critic-proof" this does Not look interesting at all, the concept design is not appealing, kinda creepy, but I'm sure it will do good at the box office, this is 'literally' for kids.

will it take the first spot ?

who knows but hopefully no, anyway

I'm watching GoTG again this weekend with the nephew

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I remember that! President Bush, the smart one, gave an introduction and the whole time I was like "What the f*ck is Alf doing here? Trying to eat Garfield?"

"[frick] rt they payed to like our dislike a movie"

You do realize that RT collects reviews from hundreds of sources, right? They are not a single entity that get's paid off to bash a film, lol
GL

Why does everyone rely on Rotten Tomatoes.....
AsgardianHobo
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:08 PM
@GL

Since people have been reading and reacting to reviews for decades now, it is no surprise. With so many movies coming out now, people don't have time to watch EVERY singly one. People with no jobs do, but sometimes others rely on critics that they trust to help them decide what to watch on a weekend.

I like RT for the fact that I don't have to go to each website to see the opinions of certain critics(used to have to grab a newspaper or magazine).

Are negative reviews the fault of RT aggregating critic scores or the conspiracy to hype Marvel? I'm confused.

I was never going to see this. TMNT never really did anything for me. I hope the fans like it.
AsgardianHobo
AsgardianHobo - 8/7/2014, 12:09 PM
And I do watch movies that they bash sometimes, just not Transformer-type movies

Every fibre of my being has always revolted against TMNT ever since I first saw them in a comic many years ago. Not just "nu-uh, not feelin' it", but positive dislike.

I really can't think of anything I'd be more unlikely to ever, ever see in my entire life, than this. Even fricken' Transformers has more pull for me.

Man, the turtles were part of my early childhood. I watched the TV shows and movies, had a lot of action figures (including the van), played all their beat'em up games, even dressed up as one of them on some costume party. Despite all that, I have nearly no interest in watching this film for some reason.
