A Peek At The Casting Call Sheet From The CW's FLASH Pilot

Iris West is one of the names glimpsed in the casting call sheet for The CW's Flash pilot. Of course, to get our Flash show, the comic book faithful must tune in tonight at 8PM PST/EST to The CW to watch Grant Gustin's debut as Barry Allen.

The Flash pilot casting sheet

News broke some months back that Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Melissa Kellner Berman and David Nutter would be developing a Flash show for The CW. Originally set to have a back-door pilot in episode 20 of Arrow, the character of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is now set to make his costumed debut in his own pilot. Of course, that's provided Gustin impresses when he debuts tonight on Arrow (8PM PST/EST on The CW).

David Rapport Casting has handled casting duties on Arrow and The Tomorrow People so it should come as no surprise that they're doing the same for The Flash. Iris West should be no surprise as she's Barry's long-time love interest but it looks like Iris' father/brother (?) (Detective West) will play a prominent role as well, at least in the pilot.

Have yet to see Arrow, though I think they should do the tv CW shows in one universe and the other tv shows and the movies in another, have a, y'know, DC Multiverse. I want a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie as the second JL movie. DC is giving us a film universe! Hell ya!

Looking forward to this. Keep him in the tv show or give him his own movie. Just stay the [frick] away from a SUPERMAN/BATMAN movie

I'm all for Grabt Gustin being the cinematic Flash. The few scenes I've seen of him have impressed me. Plus, he has the athletic track runner build I always looked for in The Flash.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... they have the script already? Holy crap-- is this going to be a mid-season premier? Are we actually THAT CLOSE to seeing the Flash hit the small screen?

Oh, HELL YES!!! Bring it ON!!!

Put him in the cinematic universe DC, the kid has talent. Let him develop into the role.

Don't listen to these people who expect an actor to nail a character with decades of history in his first scene.

I'd be pretty surprised if the supporting cast wasn't set up similar to the Johns stuff just before the new52 and the current Manapul and Buccellato run. The likes of Iris, Patty, David Singh, James Forrest and Captain Frye all being part of the show.

@Mark Julian

Barry ALLEN'S father's name would not actually be DETECTIVE WEST.

Seems like that would be Iris' male relative.

Ok obviously the DCCU on TV and FIlm are connected. I'm thinking they'll introduce Nightwing and Flash on screen and carry the storyline onto their own shows (including Teen Titans). Also i think Doomsday IS the villain, and Lex's is gonna use clark's DNA to create SuperBoy (for Teen Titans) and Doomsday.

But for the films I think DC will focus on Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

Word has it Grant Gustin will be the DCCU Flash. I believe Arrow and Flash will be allowed to step up into the DCCU.

I wonder if WB ever considered allowing the following:

Make the season finales for Arrow and Flash into cinematic movies.

What aspects do you want? In the clips I saw, he serves as a stark contrast to Amells Green Arrow. He's a very different looking person from other actors on the show. To me, his personality was instantly likable and I enjoyed seeing how light hearted he was. When he discusses his mothers death, I felt for him and really liked how he read those lines

To each his own

Cool. So far I'm not impressed with Gustin but we'll see.

A Flash anything is always welcome from me. I hope Wally shows up as well.

Also That's the Wally logo up there. I like that.

Come on guys, have an open mind. Henry Cavill and now Gal Godot are not Academy Award winning actors, you can't honestly say that Stephen and Grant can't "hold their own" against Gal's Wonder Woman now right? She's not Charlize Theron but she fits. She's young, attractive and UNKNOWN, ready for multiple movies and I could totally see her making some tv cameos. Henry got his start on tv too. And Ben... Come on, he has awards but he most certainly is not Daniel Day-Lewis either. All you guys need to stop bashing these tv guys just for being on tv. They can make the jump to movies at ANY time. And I for one pray to the geek gods that DC connects EVERYTHING together. That would be glorious in my opinion.....

We're not bashing him. We're bashing Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns for hiring him.

He's gay. Sounds like it, too.

@TheFox, I do not think they are going to do a mid-season premiere, there is a long way to go to film this. You have the casting, filming, editing, selling to network, and then getting it scheduled to air. It is on track for a fall season premiere though, which can't get here soon enough for me, love THE FLASH with John Wesley Shipp and hope this is as good if not better than that was...

I can't wait to see what they do with this show. But this version of Barry Allen should just be on the small screen. Just like when Smallville was on TV there was also Superman Returns. So this way the TV version can do its thing while the theater versions does it's own thing. Plus then the writers don't have to worry about if this is right for the TV show and fits in with the movieverse. So I really hope it is just one of the different Earths from the multiverse.

Still disappointed about the fact that Quicksilver is in 2 movies and Flash is in a TV show. I like Quicksilver but we can't even compare him to the Flash!!
