Alternate Logo Designs For CW's THE FLASH

When a film or a television show needs to add a 3D touch to their 2D logo they often call conceptual designer Thom Schillinger. Earlier this year, The CW hired him to churn out 3D versions of their 2D logo of The Flash. Here's some unused designs.

After The CW Television Network had chosen a two-dimensional logo for their new comic book television series The Flash they turned to professional graphic designer Thom Schillinger to add some three-dimensional pizzazz. In one day, Shillinger churned out 19 alternate designs, and you can see most of them below. To see all of them, with descriptions of the various techniques he applied click here and here.

Schillinger, previously designed logos for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class (2011), Bryan Singer's X2: X-men United (2003), Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005), Mark Steven Johnson's Daredevil (2003) and many more.

Looks like the 90s Flash TV show logo. I prefer the one that they went with.

Of course there will be a trailer before Mad Max Fury Road. Will it be the first one or the first time we're seeing it? Probably not. Anyone could guess that though.

I really fell in love with this show because it truly embraces it's comic book roots. I also kind of enjoy the cheesy dialogue as long as it's stuff like clever puns or one-liners from the villains, but NOT cringe inducing soap opera stuff. I just wish they'd drop the cheap CW-required friend zone crap between Barry and Iris in favor of developing the love story between Barry and Felicity.

Barrycity FTW!!!!
