Earlier today, we learned that Peyton List (The Tomorrow People; Mad Men) had been cast as Leonard Snart's little sister Lisa a.k.a. the Golden Glider. Additionally, in a little bit of extra casting news, it's being reported that Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy Hollow; Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid) has been cast in a guest spot as Dante, the handsome and charming older brother of Carlos Valdes' Cisco. In addition to being the family favorite, he's also "a gifted pianist, who never reached his potential and secretly resents Cisco’s success." However, "When the brothers are thrust into extreme circumstances, Dante must rely on Cisco if they’re going to survive." It looks like the brothers may be coming face-to-face with the Golden Glider as Gonzalez, along with List, will also make his first appearance of the season in Episode 16: "Rogue Time."

Gonzalez himself confirmed his casting in a tweet, which you can read below:

What do you guys think of today's casting news? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

@NerdMan - Eh? It was meant to be a pun based on his second name and the show he's going to be starring in (The Flash... Speed... geddit?). No racism was intended at all.

@KidGoku - Coming from someone who is an ethnic minority and has had to deal with a lot of bullshit racism in my life, I maintain that comment was never intended to be taken as racist.

It wasn't funny either, but that's beside the point :P

He's actually right, to some extend. Chile, Argentina and Mexico are mostly populated by white people. There's more hispanic blood than aztec/mayan/olmecan etc...

It's okay. I understand. I'm learning as well, even as an African American I learned that a lot of jokes towards other races can seem a bit inappropriate. Sometimes we see opportunities and we take it, so I get where you're coming from. I'm not offended by it, but sometimes you never know especially on a site like this. We have some pretty decent credibility too. At least you're mature with your response unlike a lot of other users.

@KidGoku - I get what you mean man. Honestly, unless someone comes out with something blatantly unacceptable, I've learnt to take most jokes with optimistically. Chances are the person telling the joke has no idea of any other racial implications it might have, and if they do, they're doing it to get a rise out of people.

But yeah, you can mostly tell on this site depending on the user. If DexterDouglas said something, it's probably racist. If McGee says something iffy, we all know he's just forgotten to take his crazy pills again ;)

@MexicanSuperman

“African-American” refers to descendants of enslaved Black people who are from the United States. The reason we use an entire continent (Africa) instead of a country (e.g., “Italian-American”) is because slave masters purposefully obliterated tribal ancestry, language and family units in order to destroy the spirit of the people they enslaved, thereby making it impossible for their descendants to trace their history prior to being born into slavery. This was all in an effort to prevent enslaved people from organizing and revolting their bondage (look up Nat Turner).

Enforcing illiteracy of enslaved people (by law, with severe penalties—including death in some cases—for teaching an enslaved person to write) and obliterating any sense of history or familial ties was a tradition in our country starting in 1619 and ending after the Civil War. This is as African-Americans we can't trace their heritage past the continent of Africa. I’ll re-emphasize this point: Our personal and family history was purposefully obliterated by people who enslaved other people.

I knew it the moment that Geoff Johns followed Viola Davis that she would be Amanda Waller in the Sucide Squad movie.

Stop talking, dude, you'll only dig yourself into a deeper hole. Take it from a guy who does stand-up that I would've happily said something like that on stage with an audience without expecting any sort of racist accusations. Reading it, I'm not seeing how people are taking that in a racist way. Guy's last name is Gonzalez and he's on The Flash... Speedy Gonzalez. How are people not getting that?
