My guess is that she ditched Joe and took their son Wally with her, which might explain why Joe took Barry in. The West family is really different in this series.

I feel the same way... I think its the bad writing and horrible acting of that cast. Arrow is a goofy show and tries to hard to be serious. Flash is a fun show and embraces the lighter side and has a much cooler concept. I see why people aren't into shield. Its a slower pace of show. But AOS still got my attention, especially with all the inhuman stuff going on.

I'm guessing it will have some Earth Two twist to the whole family drama. Or maybe that's just me hoping this isn't just some drivel added for the sake of dramatic drivel.
