In recent weeks, photos from the set of The Flash in Scotland have shown Batman racing into action on a White Knight-inspired Bat-cycle. It was clearly meant to be Ben Affleck's version of the Dark Knight (as opposed to Michael Keaton's), but it was a stuntman rather than the actor himself in the Batsuit.
Now, though, it's been revealed that Affleck is going to report to the set of the movie next month.
That doesn't necessarily mean we'll get any set photos, but as this Batman will get to see at least some action, we wouldn't be surprised. Either way, The Flash is expected to serve as a farewell to this version of the hero, so we'll take all the "Batfleck" we can get in the Multiverse-spanning adventure.
We weren't expecting Affleck to return as Bruce Wayne after Justice League, but he's shown himself to be surprisingly willing to reprise the role both in this movie and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
The cast of The Flash includes Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Keaton as Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, and Ron Livingston as Henry Allen. Plenty of surprises are expected, though the movie has yet to publicly announce the casting of a lead villain (we may, however, have a disappointing update on that).
The Flash is set to be released on November 4, 2022.
