BARRY DECIDES HE NEEDS TO PROTECT THE CITY ON HIS OWN — Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Gabrielle Stanton.

The Flash returns to the CW on October 6.

Awesome photo. Flash is a fantastic show I liked the easter eggs in season 1 that mentioned the Justice League. and seeing Grodd too. Can't wait for season 2 and to see Earth 2 character's

The more and more this show just KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK, the more and more I wish Gustin was the DCEU FLASH

This show just gets the mythology and the character soooooo well

People need to cut the bullshit with wanting Grant Gustin to be the DCEU Flash. If he becomes the Flash, then you know damn well Stephen Amell would do all he could to be the DCEU Green Arrow, and that shit don't work.

@Pasto IM NOT STUPID, I KNOW HE'LL NEVER BE IN THE DCEU. But, that doesnt mean i cant appreciate what he's doing for the character...i think he's talented enough to be in that universe but i know IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN. I agree, CW Arrow CANNOT fit into the DCEU at all

Gustin is a good actor, and he works really well on CW's version of the Flash, but I don't know how well he'd fit into an ensemble project consisting of 100% actors who don't make appearances on network television. Also if Gustin DID join the DCEU somehow, then you'd have to let Amell join as well, and Blackneto, and Laurel, and Thea, and every character to appear on either the CW, Fox, or CBS.

Tell me that doesn't make your skin crawl.

If Gustin was able to join the DCEU, then you can bet your ass that Felicity would be joining right behind him. Can you imagine Felicity having an awkward conversation with the likes of Amy Adams about how hot Henry Cavill's Superman is?

I'd rather drink a gallon of bleach then deal with that.

Come on guys I hated the casting of Ezra as flash but after hearing how enthusiastic he is of the role I think he can do the flash justice (pun intended) the guy has the jawline for the flash suit too. I just hope someday he crosses over with Grant Gustins Barry

ONLY cast members of ANY network DC show I'd want in the films are Jesse L. Martin and John Wesley Shipp. But they'd have to play different roles then they currently play on The Flash.

But please keep Arrow away from Flash, DCEU and anything else.

I'd be fine with Gustin in the DCEU. It's not like the rest of the Justice League so far is made up of Oscar-quality actors. He'd fit in fine with Momoa, Gadot and Affleck. Gustin seems to be a higher class of CW actor than the norm.

why can't Marvel give us something like this for AoS? Imagine one of Quake in full uniform done like this?

Say what you will about tone and interconnected universes, but Flash gets some great promo art.
