Another round of photos from the set of The Flash have zoomed online, and they are yet again from Burghley House in Lincolnshire, England. The impressive building doubled for Wayne Manor in 1989's Batman, and will be used again in this film for Barry Allen's first meeting with Bruce Wayne.
However, it's not the Dark Knight's home we're talking about today. Instead, some shots of a mysterious man with a long black beard wearing a trench coat have got the internet buzzing.
This isn't someone wearing a robe to hide their costume, and we have no real clue whether it's a stunt person or crew member simply having a look around the building, or if filming was underway. If this is a character in The Flash, then it's possible that he's an enemy of Batman's, though some wilder fan theories have suggested we could be looking at Vandal Savage!
That may sound like a stretch, but remember that The Flash's big bad has not been revealed.
In other news, Scotland's The Daily Record has revealed that areas in Glasgow and Edinburgh are set to be transformed in an effort to recreate "gothic scenes" akin to what we saw from Tim Burton's version of Gotham City.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Saroise-Monica Jackson, and Rudy Mancuso. The film is currently scheduled to release in theaters on November 4, 2022.
