Last night's Super Bowl kicked off with the first trailer for The Flash, and it was a sneak peek that definitely electrified fans (you can read our breakdown by clicking here).
However, we're guessing your reaction paled in comparison to that of Supergirl actress Sasha Calle. She's taken to Twitter to share her excitement for the movie, sharing a brief video of her reaction to that action-packed preview; as you might expect, Calle is psyched to be playing the DCEU's Girl of Steel!
"Y'all! I love you! I put my heart and soul into Supergirl," she says. "It's so exciting to finally share a little bit of her with you! She's so special [and] strong. Getting to know her [and] feel her has been one of my greatest honors. I love her so much and I love you! June 16. Lets f***ing goooo!"
Calle would later add, "If theres anything Supergirl has taught me, it’s hope. Anything is possible. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise! I love you!"
DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran refused to confirm whether Calle will return as the character in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and we're guessing her fate hinges on how audiences respond to the actress this summer. She's certainly enthusiastic about the hero, though, so we're rooting for her!
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The Flash will finally race into theaters on June 16.
