In an effort to drum up as much interest as possible, Warner Bros. continues to hold preview screenings for The Flash across the world. If recent opening weekend estimates of $115 million - $140 million are any indication, it could pay off, though only time will tell whether the Scarlet Speedster has the legs to race to true box office success.
For now, we have a new still from the movie that puts the spotlight on both Barry Allens during The Flash's final battle.
Trailers have confirmed that we're seeing the 2013 and 2023 versions of the Fastest Man Alive here, with the former decked out in a modified Batsuit as he speeds into battle alongside his more experienced counterpart. They're squaring off with General Zod's army in a reality that has now Superman; luckily, Michael Keaton's Batman and Supergirl will be there to lend a helping hand.
Check out this new look at The Flash in the Tweet below.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
