THE FLASH Will Introduce Its Next 'Big Bad' Very Early On In Season 2
While collecting his first acting award for his work on The Flash, Grant Gustin had a few things to tease about the show's second season. Revealing that the next big threat will feature almost immediately, he also touched on DC spin-off series, Legends Of Tomorrow.
Looks like Barry Allen wont have to wait around too long for his next big test. Collider recently caught up with the show's star, Grant Gustin, as he collected the 'Breakthrough Performance Award' at the 41st Annual Saturn Awards. As well as being happy to win his first acting award for his work on The Flash, Gustin had a few things to tease about the show's second season - revealing that they would be "introducing a really cool 'Big Bad' that's going to be revealed kind of immediately."
The identity of this mysterious rogue is so far unknown, but it will be exciting to see them feature so early on in Season 2. Whoever it is will have a tall order following on from Tom Cavanagh's 'Reverse-Flash', but with the former Scrubs actor set to return next year as well, perhaps there's potential for a villanous team-up down the line? During the interview, Gustin also expressed his excitement about The CW's newest DC Comics show, Legends Of Tomorrow. "I’m going to be a part of that right out of the gates as well,” he claimed, "I get to be Flash on three TV shows. I was unemployed a year and a half ago, so that’s pretty cool."
His last statement appears to confirm The Flash's return to sister show Arrow, at some point in the near future. Which CW show are you most looking forward to? And who do you think this new villain could be? You can check out Collider's full interview with Gustin below, and be sure to leave your thoughts and theories in the comments below!
