You're going to want to adjust your DVR as The CW have revealed that the midseason finale of The Flash will run from 8:00 to 9:01:45, almost an additional two minutes in total. This is more than likely for an extended trailer which will look ahead to the rest of season one when the show returns in the New Year. Chances are it will give us a look at The Rogues, more Reverse-Flash (hopefully), and perhaps even Gorilla Grodd. Here's the synopsis for the episode again in case you missed it.

BARRY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE MAN IN THE YELLOW SUIT/AMANDA PAYSRETURNS TO THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when theReverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) come up with aplan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays)from Mercury Labs to help. Meanwhile, it’s Christmas at The West household and Iris (CandicePatton) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves herwith a question that could change her life. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) joins the search for the man inyellow and ends up in the crossfire. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) finds Ronnie (Robbie Amell).Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing (#109).

Barry isn't going to win this one. Reverse Flash has more experience than him with the speed force, and heck Barry has a hard enough time going up against Oliver right now. The only reason he'll survive this is because Zoom wants to tear him down first.

But wait, did they make it 2 min longer by adding 2 min at the start or end of the episode??

This show seems cool but darn it Swedish tv is slow in adding shows! We still havnt got MAoS s2 to start here. Seems like we just get overfilled with criminal shows and retarded "comedy" shows. Gonna start watching Arrow during hollydays. Is s1 as bad as people say?

Well, I was so blown away at the end of this week's episode that I forgot SHEILD was even on, so I missed a couple of minutes of it before I realized to switch channels! If it happens again this week, I might end up missing 4 minutes of SHEILD.

It'd be cool to have reverse flash reveal to Barry the speed force and how it connects them. Hat dark matter explosion just exposed Barry to the speed force

@Floke no, it's not bad, pretty good actually, and much much better than the first season of AoS.

@combatwomat I know what you're talking about! Yeah that really is similar, I didn't even think about it. Peter's whole story in USM is amazing.

@Floke you could tell the first season they didn't know the formula to make the show work but still enjoyable. Season 2 KILLED IT and season 3 is amazing. And you should get Hulu and start The Flash NOW best comic book show out there, Walking Dead is exempt from that.

I really don't want to miss the first 2 minutes of AoS, but I guess I will have to.

My DVR system automatically updated with the 2 minutes. Since I also DVR AOS and Supernatural an hour later I'm surprised nothing overlapped. Fortunately, the CW took that in account and Supernatural starts 2 minutes later. So not missing any part of AOS.

I wonder if Wells is not Reverse Flash at all. He looks like the guy who survive crisis from the future and return to the past to make sure that the Flash is exist to save the world from crisis.

Wells is likely T.O.Morrow. Seems he's trying to help Barry from somehow altering the future for the worse. Reverse - Flash is probably a Barry from an alternate future timeline.
