The head gear really puts the last nail in that costumes coffin. SyFy does indeed suck. Its where series go to die.

Now Alex Ross' new comic The Last Phantom looks interesting. Somebody who knows how should post a picture of those covers where the costume is basically made of blood. Crazy!

This makes Billy Zane's Phantom look so much better. In fact, regardless of what other people think, Billy Zane's "The Phantom" movie was pretty much dead on as far as movie adaptations go. It had the right amount of 1940's-style flair for camp, action, and adventure.... it WAS The Phantom I wanted to see with my kids back then. Shame on SyFy for butchering the look....

Man I freaking loved the Phantom.... and now SyFy is raping it. I freaking hate the SyFy channel. The Phantom movie was a good movie and was pretty faithful. This show will suck harder than a vacuum cleaner convention.

Phantom is one of my old time favorites and this costume they have him in is an atrocity!!! BLASPHEMY I SAY!!!

@ MatchesMalone - you're right. Even bat-nipples on this suit would be an improvement at this point.

I actually watched the new episodes and even though I'm usually easily entertained - it was atrocious to watch.

Believe or not in the first hour or so, they actually had nerve to show the original costume in all it's glory and still retired it for the piece of trash outfit posted above.

I don't see why it so hard to stick to the original 'ingredients' of our heroes. They think by changing them it's going to make it better. Morons!

Damn, what happened to that big budget movie talk going around titled = 'THE GHOST WHO WALKS' ?

I remember talk about it being a modern PHANTOM that had a MATRIX feel to it, (Batman type gadgets).

Sounded like the MARVEL run of THE PHANTOM in the '90's, quality mini series!



Damn, hope that at some point will be made?

And MANDRAKE THE MAGICIAN, probably only get [frick]ing FLASH GORDON lol?

I SAW THE SERIES AND...IS PRETTY COOL ...I MEAN IS A NEW VERSION ADAPTED TO THE 21 CENTURY....I LOVE THE SERIES AND I KEEP SEEN IT :P....AND THE CLASSIC SUIT APPEARS IN THE SERIES...BUT THEY EXPLAIN THE REASONS OF THE NEW ONE ...SO GIVE IT THE CHANCE :D

We had it last year on movie network (canada)and it is sadly done. they could have called it "the rise of subzero" I couldn't care less..The Billy Zane version was really something compare to that and I'm really proud I found a DVD of it on Ebay.
