Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

I went for the HMV exclusive steelbook (2d blu-ray) as the Marvel blu-ray cases are getting pretty damn thin and flimsy (eg: IM2 triple-play)- and I wanted a nice case for this great film. The art on it is the same as the 3d front case art as well.

I'm also surprised considering the concept of the metal shield, that there is not (as yet) a pre-order steel book of Captain America with a shield-based artwork-design.

Too bad the 3D sucked in this. Like most 3D movies.

But I'll get the Blu Ray/DVD pack. It was a pretty sweet movie.

3D at home sucks to me unless you have at least a 65" and sit really close. I have a 55" but site about 9-10 feet away so it just hurts my eyes. HD picture is good enough. I just upgraded my system to 9.2 surround and THAT made a bigger difference.
