It’s the story that has been seen the world over, and today Marvel is proud to present your very first look inside THOR #1, the new series from New York Times-bestselling writer Jason Aaron (Original Sin, Thor: God of Thunder) and rising star artist Russell Dauterman (Cyclops)! Prepare for an all-new era of the God of Thunder as a brand new female hero explodes into the Marvel Universe! The great hammer Mjölnir lies on the surface of the moon, unable to be lifted by anyone in all the heavens – even the Mighty Thor! Something dark has befallen the Thunder God, leaving him unworthy and unable to lift his magic hammer. With an army of Frost Giants invading Earth, the Odinson may not have the strength to stop them – and the hammer will be lifted by an all-new Thor! A mysterious woman unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before!

Find out who this mysterious new warrior is when Thor #1 hits shelves this October.

@kinghulk I know that it won't happen, but it would be epic if Fury somehow remembered the Reigning. That would make sense on why he's unworthy.

Did anyone read Original Sin? I thought it was a good event and had a lot of potential but the ending shit the bed. Another Marvel event that didn't pay off. These events are just gimmicks to relaunch #1 issues.

@blackandyellow yeah I read OS and I'll say it was one the better events from marvel in a while, but the ending was lacking. It's funny that I always say I'm going to stay away from events and then buckle and buy them anyway haha

Wow He-Man-She-Thor huh? Idk I just can't get behind this idea. I mean I'm cool with her if its Valkyrie or Sif, but I wish they would change the name. While 'Thor' maybe a title it's still the dude's name and there should be only one. You know, like Highlander.

@secnotsure

I hear ya, man. Marvel does a great job of marketing to suck me in for their events but it's rarely worth it. From the time they showed the real Fury in the event I had a feeling it was just a way to get rid of him to give Marcus Fury a more prominent role so 616 aligns with the MCU.
