During last night's 2012 Golden Globes awards, English actor Idris Elba won Best Actor in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television for his portrayal of DCI Luther in the thriller series
Luther. And afterwards,
MTV caught up with the star, where he dished on his reprisal as 'Heimdall' in Marvel's
Thor sequel, among other.
There isn't much known regarding actor Chris Hemsworth's 2nd solo outing as Marvel Studios' God of Thunder 'Thor.' However, we do know the Alan Taylor-directed sequel will explore new worlds, plus the relationships with Anthony Hopkins' all-father 'Odin' and Natalie Portman's "Woman of Science" Jane Foster. In addition to the return of Tom Hiddleston's mischief-maker 'Loki,' the horde of Asgardians and Norse creatures will expand.
And what makes Idris Elba's mention of being "unsure" if he'll appear in
The Avengers, rather than a fat "no," is that we don't know how much of Asgard will be explored in the highly-anticipated film; if at all. And considering 'Heimdall' is seemingly what separates our world with Asgard, there's a definite possibility for a cameo.
With filming scheduled to commence in London, this summer, the tentatively titled
Thor 2 sequel releases in theaters November 15, 2013. And speaking of the tentative title, if it's not too much trouble,
hit the jump out my own attempts at a title treatment for the much-anticipated sequel.
