Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Thanks to SHH Forum user, darkslayer101 for the following footage.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Thor is set to be released in the UK on April 29 and shortly after in the US on May 6, later this year!

Doubt it. Thor looks great while the GL CGI looks amateurish.

@otherside- WHAT?!?! YOU THINK THOR LOOKS BETTER, HOW DARE YOU? Just kidding, Thor looks excellent and I can totally understand looking forward to that one more than GL. It's your opinion, man! :D GL & Thor both just look like the best CBM's of 2011 to me.

I think it's cool that they're starting to get people ready for the Avengers through thier advertising. By having Hulk and Iron Man in there.

@Xenix
well,I wouldn't listen to a random guy who tells me to kill myself in a CBM site,would you? :P
throw insults at each other doesn't resolve anything,that's why the world is so [frick]ed up
you stated an opinion,it didn't liked it to some dude,so what?Just ignore him,after all,you know what they say: haters gonna hate :)
PS-for the record,I'M NOT calling hater to anyone,just in case :P

@wenee

oops,busted! :P
Spidey is my favorite hero,but I'm a big comic book fan in general terms,I love MARVEL and DC almost equally (55 MARVEL,45 DC.more points for MARVEL because of Spidey :P)
It wasn't my intention to create some sort of friction

@Vermillion
thanks dude! I appreciate it :D
I'm new on this site (I just loged in a few days ago),so I'm just trying to be friendly :)

Thor will do better than GL. Better story, more relatable storyline, better casting better CGI. Reynolds should be the FLASH not GL. GL looks a bit too Xbox CGI. Thor looks Movie CGI. I'll see both probably but Thor just looks grand and epic with no doubts. GL looks like a video game.

@NerdAlert

Thor can stand on his own,sure (Director,cast,VFX,all around great,and lets wait for the reviews once the movie premieres),but MARVEL is playing it safe,at least I can't blame them for that,they need this movie to succed
same goes for Captain America and the whole "First Avenger" deal,you know,something like "hey,if he was the first avenger,who are the others? the dude with the hammer is one too?and Ironman too? that's cool" :P

personally,I would have loved something like this:
Thor:The Mighty Avenger
Captain America:The First Avenger
and instead of just "Iron Man 3",Iron Man:The Armored Avenger
Rango
Rango - 4/2/2011, 9:50 PM
its not DC comics vs Marvel Comics,we love both but it's DC/WB vs Marvel as producers,their approach towards movie making.DC has already made a dozen Bat+Supes movies(2 in pipeline) and yet no Flash??it took 2 Iron Man movies, a Thor and a Cap for the big screen adaptation of GL.

when it comes to making movies ,be with superb casting choice/CGI/closeness to original source material,Marvel wins hands down.

I was blown away by the GL 4 min footage.Awesome!!!
Great year for CBM.
