@DatSexyFaora I got to agree with you, Darcy was a scene killer.

This movie was badass! It really fleshed out Asgard and gave the movie more of a weight than the first.

But what would we do without Rotten Tomatoes? Form our own opinions? Sounds scary...

2 more weeks until I see it, I have read so many spoilers already, couldn't resist.

I forget, when do we usually get the Thurs numbers? I thought we'd have them by now.

@Desrow

Actually the sad thing here is that Marvelites could use MOS's real ratings to troll it's articles while you have to resort to spamming an outdated one.

The movie was great, but certainly not perfect. My favorite CBM of the year, for sure. It was well balanced, epic, had a lot of heart, great action, etc. And some people are way overreacting about the humor. The movie was sprinkled with humor in all of the right parts, and just slightly overdone in only a few moments. Even in those moments where it was overdone, it was situational humor, not dumb jokes. Watching this movie immediately after Thor, and then the Avengers really helped put it in perspective. The biggest retractor for me was the underuse of what could have been a larger than life villain, but he did serve his purpose and his motives were more than acceptable. He just needed more screen time. The movie really kept you guessing at every turn, and it did so amazingly. I rate it at 8/10, if we go decimals I'd say 8.5/10.

In comparison:

My ratings for Thor related movies...
Thor - 6/10
Avengers - 8/10

My ratings for 2013 CBMs...
Iron Man 3 - 7/10
Man of Steel - 7/10

Second best CBM of the year for me.

1) Man Of Steel 9/10
2) Thor: TDW 8.5/10
3) The Wolverine 7.5/10
4) Ironman 3 6/10

Red capes won this year.

Are we really pretending to give a S!@T what the "top critics" say?! These pretentious snobs aren't going to give a comic book movie the time of day! Only if it strays dramatically from the subject matter can it even begin to score well. These are the same type of snobs that prevent these movies from doing well at the Oscars and the same type of snobs that continue to produce one horrible, predictable movie after another. When's the last time any of you watched a non CBM that was any good? I know my wife and I score well below 50% on any movie we watch that isn't a CBM.

Really! Thor was a GREAT CBM. Spot on with the tone and the subject matter. The humor is pervasive, but so what?! Read the comics! There's a ton of humor in marvel comics. Don't take it too seriously. It's a movie about super heroes and aliens. It was great! I took 9 people to see it last night, ages 9-43. We all loved it. That's all that really matters.

@JoJo1982

why are yall even caring about what Rotten Tomatoes has to say???

Because it says what some of us want to hear. Man of Steel and now Thor: The Dark World are examples of this. People constantly posting their RT scores (because they're not good) to say how shitty they think the movie is and ultimately how shitty they want everyone else to believe it is (misery loves company). However you won't see anyone posting Iron Man 3's RT score anytime soon to say how bad it is. It's more highly rated than any comic book movie that has come out this year for starters. In spite of all the complaints about the humor, the villain and the movie in general, the RT score is the last thing that will back them on this. Even worse, not one of comic book movies preferred that came out this year can come close to it's box office domestically or internationally.

MoS was not even close..had 4 kids with me..17, 13,13, and 11...and me the only adult. Not even close.

Its not a critics movie, but i do find the RT trolling funny since no one wanted to hear about the 50 something MoS was getting..

The movie was fun, paced well (Snyder couldn't do that if his life depended on it) and had an actual arc. Action wasn't drug out over extended periods, and it was broken with humor...Complain all you want..compare this to that all you want. But at the end of the day Both Thor and IM3 are going to make more money then MoS...and together more money then all the rest of the CBMs COMBINED.

O...also saw the C:TWS preview..extended trailer + elevator scene..was VERY good. Cap will put marvel into the Top Franchise ever and then haters can eat shit

@JoJo well those days are over... even when have our own opinions we are always goign to be aware of what the film critics say, music critics say, TV critics say, decoration critics say, book critics say, gosh!!! even food critics.... so they decide if a food is good or not for you? that's interesting..

I do not know why you feel the need to explain yourself to a bias user trying to masquerade as a non-bias fanboy.

@Omega

Let me take a good look at you! Ok, I can now see your bullshit even clearer.

Alright! If you really want to act as a troll police! You should have reprimanded or berate all user trolling in this site no matter what their preference but it seems to me you are just targeting certain demographics. Especially the ones that are more inclined to DC.

And your theatric of being objective is working very poorly. It's sad to say that I'm the only one who's able detect it.

Anyway, Its good to see that you're trying to remove the blanket because its painful to look at you pretending to be a non-bias member of this site.

Watched it the first showin' here, and the only thin' I can complain 'bout it is that it's gonna take too long to get it on DVD. I liked this better then the first one (which I loved) 'cause you get more Thor. The movie was well paced and had action spread throughout it. Not once did it seem to drag to me. The action was great, and Hemsworth has really got a handle on the character.
