Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Thor is set to be released on DVD and blu-ray on September 13th, later this year!

After watching this I kind of understand why they didn't use the Helmet. It's terribly oversized and looked pretty weird. They should go with the concept art posted here some days ago. A better looking helmet and broader shoulder pads should make Chris look even better. But this movie was a very good effort.

A Swedish dvd shop has the 3d/blueray/dvd triple pack listed with:

» Striking Thunder: The Mighty Thor (42:35)
» Road to the Avengers (5:18)
» Side story (3:00)
» Deleted scenes (29:07)

I just hope that the blueray/dvd pack has the same features. I guess there will be a long directors cut at some point then?

About the helmet, I think it wouldn't work at all. I bet they had a good reason not to use it.

About the extra scenes, I'm pretty sure that those will be the scenes on the script that didn't made to the final cut, like Odin and Frigga talkin about the odinsleep in the beginning of the movie, the Thor/Loki chat before he enters the hall and those extra warriors three & sif lines.

For some reason, I love the thought of Hopkins moving on from this and forgetting it, like he does every role.
