THOR Is The 3rd Most Pirated Film Of 2011

Marvel Studios' summer blockbuster Thor is the third most pirate film of the year, being illegally downloaded over eight million times. Sucker Punch and Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 also make it to the top ten.

Movie Fone has compiled a list of the ten most illegally downloaded films of 2011, which is topped by Universal's Fast Five. Coming into third place is Marvel Studios' Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder. The film, which has grossed nearly $450 million worldwide, has been downloaded illegally online 8.3 million times. For other CBMs that make the list, Zack Snyder's critically panned Sucker Punch ($89 mil. worldwide) was downloaded 7.2 million times; also, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 (the biggest movie of the year, grossing over a billion dollars worldwide) is at the end of the list, with 6 million downloads being made. 1. Fast Five (Universal): 9.3 million

2. The Hangover Part II (Warner Bros. / Legendary): 8.8 million

3. Thor (Marvel/Paramount): 8.3 million

4. Source Code (Summit / Vendome): 7.9 million

5. I Am Number Four (DreamWorks / Disney): 7.7 million

6. Sucker Punch (Warner Bros. / Legendary): 7.2 million

7. 127 Hours (Fox Searchlight): 6.9 million

8. Rango (Paramount): 6.5 million

9. The King's Speech (Weinstein Co.): 6.3 million

10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (Warner Bros.): 6 million
