THOR: THE DARK WORLD Stars Weigh In On [SPOILER] In the Mid-Credits Teaser

Major spoilers for those who've yet to see Thor: The Dark World, but check out what two Asgardian actors have to say about playing opposite a certain fella who pops up during the mid-credits scene.

While Thor: The Dark World finally storms into theaters worldwide today, MTV News was at the Marvel sequel's L.A. premiere earlier this week. In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, MTV also spoke with The Dark World stars Jaimie Alexander and Ray Stevenson about reprising their Asgardian roles during the film's mid-credits teaser, which is directed by Gunn and introduces Benicio Del Toro as The Collector from Guardians of the Galaxy. But first, excluded from MTV's video (below) is their quotes from Marvel producer Kevin Feige on the big Phase 3 teaser.

“The best Easter eggs do both. Nick Fury at the end of 'Iron Man,' for people who knew who he was, that was a nice Easter egg, but it was also informing the audience of what's to come,” he said. “So certainly the Infinity Stones and revealing that the Tesseract and the Aether are Infinity Stones. Comic fans perhaps know where that's going, and people who don't know that from the comic lore, I hope, will start to learn.” In a separate interview, Feige admits “It was always the plan to show that the tesseract was indeed an infinity stone, as was the Aether.”

“What?,...what is this guy talking about?” asks Jaimie Alexander jokingly when MTV's Josh Horowitz informed her of Sif's appearance in the scene. “[The Collector's] hair is pretty awesome. I actually think [Bencio] did it pretty well. I enjoyed it. It was hard to keep a straight face. He's pretty rad!” the actress says, owning up to her inclusion. “He's a tall chap, quirky, and mad as a bag of snakes,” says Ray Stevenson of Benicio Del Toro. “I only met him that day, but it was tremendous working on their set (Guardians of the Galaxy), which is a completely different world to ours. You pink people, orange people, strange creatures... And [Bencio] just has this character that's just a delight. I can't wait to see the movie!” What do you think?

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Starring Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor. The film is produced by Kevin Feige, while executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters on November 8, 2013.

he looked weird and acted weird,it was like silva from skyfall, it little camp, but scary and sinister, the best word to describe his performance is what Gunn said" mesmerizing", i was just staring at him and wanted to know whathe was gonna do next and you wanna know whats going on in his head

Collector is a weirdo in the comics... They actually held back on the weird factor from how I thought they would go. It was perfect.

That scene should be the sign of how great GotG will be. Should easily be second after Avengers.

I wonder how we will see the last 3 gems

well there is plenty of time to show them if they want them to appear in Avengers 3.

Possibly another 8 films from now to go until then.

Great movie, but they should have saved the GOTG scene after the credits instead of it being a mid-credit scene.

Saw Thor2 last night. It was awesome! So much better than IM 3 and i Overheard a number of people saying that this was their new favorite cbm. Personally, I think it was the best in 2013 and I really enjoyed MOS, too.

Tesserect= Power Gem: because the arc reactor and hydra weapons was based off of it.

Aether= Space Gem: because that was the power it showcased the most. The ability to transport matter from one area to another.

??? Lil stick of destiny= Mind Gem: Because Loki was able to influence people with it throughout Avengers.

I really really really liked it alot more than the first. It was a really good movie with great dialogue and great moments. I really enjoyed the humor in this one mainly because it came from Loki being a smartass and it fit really well to me. Its one of those movies that will show you something but will lie to you throughout the entire movie right up until the end. Everyone's acting was really good and I enjoyed the majority of the characterizations except for one. I really really think Marvel missed an opportunity AGAIN to have another great villain as they just didn't develop Malekith as much as they could have and I dont think it was Alan Taylor's fault.

I also really like the eccentricity of Benicio Del Toro's collector that mid credits scene is actually the reason I'm now excited for Guardians of the Galaxy.

True but I am sure IMTurd will hold that title, I am pretty sure the Hobbit two cannot bank that kind of dollar, though you are forgetting the Hunger Games!

i think this has been a pretty good year for superhero films,i know alot of people will disagree with me but i thought iron man 3 while the wekaest of the three for me is still solid as a film,it has flaws but i think its strength outweigh them, man of steel was really good, not the superman film i wanted from seeing the trailers but a pretty good film on its own and the wolverine is still my favorite of the year, gonna see thor tomorrow,so excited, did anyone sis the cap 5 min preview before it and can you give us any details?

I liked Darcy in the beginning, especially her short interaction with Thor before he left with Jane. But we really didn't need her and her sidekick interrupting the non-Midgard scenes with their search for No-Pants Selvig.

I did like the movie a lot, and would call it my favourite CBM of 2013, but especially after reading about how they left scenes about Malekith on the cutting floor I can't help but mourn the movie Thor TDW could have been.

@ezio619 - saw it last night. It features about a 2 minute long scene of him in the elevator, then a slightly recut trailer with a different ending. It looks like it will be the best Marvel film in phase 2 by far.

Thor had some pacing issues, and took a while to get going with some forced humor early on, and peppered perhaps too much throughout. But, most people seem to like it. I was entertained, and it does get a bit dark in the middle.
