Every deleted scene of Malekith should have been included. We all know why... weakest villain in the MCU ever. Even Kurse was better.

they should have left in the Malekith scene and def the scene with Thor & Frigga discussing Loki and how she gave him her magics.

Malekith was both MCU's most powerful and weakest villain.

Thor and Thor: TDW had some really great deleted scenes that should have been left in the theatrical version.

@MrCBM56- I agree, Malekith should have been fleshed out more. It would have made a deeper, richer movie. But it still worked for me.

They didn't miss anything by not including deleted scene 4. But the other three all work really well. They add texture to the story. And I love Thor slowly lowering his cup to the table after Volstaff says "Another!" and tosses his to the floor. A great character moment that tells so much.

Yeah the movie was kinda short I wonder who made the executive decision to cut these but it was a big mistake.

It was really cool when Malekith grew bigger in the final battle. He's the weakest MCU villain to date.

Zachary Levi is severely underutilized as Fandral. Give him a role with some meat in the MCU. Doctor Strange? Nova? Something.

If you think about it, the MCU's only memorable villain so far is Loki. They really are lacking in character development for their villains.

Darcy, The Intern and Selvig should have been cut from the film or reduced to cameos and Malekith's deleted scenes should have been included in the film and the villain should have been show cased a lot more.

Malekith could have been as memorable as Loki but unfortunately slapstick humor over ruled the film.

Deleted scenes shouldn't just be content they intended to cut or just shot just because. They were meant to be in the film but for one reason or another didn't make the final cut.

Most likely all this was cut for time. Now I think the Frigga one is just a little redundant. It's only purpose is to tell us that she taught Loki magics(which we can deduce by the previous scene and later one) and for Thor to tell us what he's going to do in the next scene which we don't need to know about.

The thing it adds to me is that Thor just doesn't understand Loki's motivation. He still thinks it's all imagines slights and it's all about getting back at Thor and Odin. He doesn't even consider that his behavior helped lead Loki down his dark path. Frigga though understands and this is why Loki treats her well. Honestly if she had went to earth in Avengers, a lot could have been averted.

@Storyteller - TDW could have been 5-10 minutes longer without hurting it in theaters, since it was a relatively short movie. I think at the first 3 of those scenes would have clearly added depth to the film. The Frigga one would have added context for most viewers, who don't always deduce what's going on within a film (not to be condescending, just a thought). JMO.

I think they left the Frigga scene out due to pacing. I believe at were they placed that scene Thor was returning with Jane. They would have had to move it forward to the point were Jane was not there..I liked the scene and it should have found a way to stay. It CLEARLY said Magic exists in MCU...which was nice foreshadowing...

Either was, the party scene should have stayed. Have not scene the rest, but it seems to me that Marvel, as much of a fan i am, does cut stuff i just dont get. Maybe the new cap running time, well over 2 hrs, will lead to less of this..

"Malekith isn't a bad villain though in my opinion, and he isn't the lamest. That award goes to Aldrich Killian."

now this is the real deal...malekith was decent enough but the lame ass villain is aldrich killian ...the movie could have been miles better as my fellow users mentioned above they should've cut darcy-selvig garbage shit
