Marvel Studios has a near flawless track record but if there are any black sheep in the MCU family, it would probably be The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Thor: The Dark World. The latter wasn't terrible but it was extremely flawed and while director Alan Taylor attempted to bring a Game of Thrones feel to the franchise, the whole thing was quite generic and completely wasted lead villain Malekith.
Now, star Chris Hemsworth has finally shared his honest thoughts on the sequel and it turns out that he was also pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing and actually considers it a pretty "meh" movie.
"The first one [Thor] is good, the second one is meh," he admits. "What masculinity was, the classic archetype — it just all starts to feel very familiar. I was so aware that we were right on the edge."
Thor: Ragnarok arguably saved the God of Thunder's franchise as director Taika Waitit essentially rebooted the franchise, so you can see why Hemsworth doesn't look back on it that fondly, especially after the threequel was so well-received. Do you agree with his Thor: The Dark World review?
