DreamWorks presents this computer-animated motion-capture adaptation of Georges Remi's beloved Tintin comic strip in this first installment of a planned trilogy. Steven Spielberg handles direction duties on the initial film, which is set to be followed by a second film helmed by Peter Jackson, who shares producing duties on the films along with Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. Jamie Bell provides the voice of Tintin, with Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Toby Jones heading up the rest of the cast. Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, and Steven Moffat provide the screenplay.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of The Unicorn hits theaters on December 23, 2011.

You can add me to the list of people excited to see this.

But I'm SO annoyed that most of Europe gets it in a month, while we have to wait until December in the US.

Tin Tin is HUGE in Europe, from what I understand.

I hope fans of the comic are happy with it. Personally, I'll be giving this a pass.

It's Spielberg...i'm sure like us he has a connection to the Tintin books so he'll deliver. I am soooo stoked for this cause he's the character that defined adventure movies like Indiana Jones, The mummy, and even Lara Croft.

Well I guess there'd be something in it for everyone. I enjoyed the books as a kid and still enjoy as an adult, so im sure there'd be something in it for everyone, like the Indy movies

ncreb, for once we have something in common. Been waiting for this film for about 20 years. And as much as I hate the idea of mo-cap, this looks really good. Plus, pure CGI can still tell great stories. You may remember this from such events as every movie Pixar has ever made.

And if you read the books, they are pure Indiana Jones meets detective story, and it's written by 3 of the most acclaimed writers and directed by 2 of the most acclaimed directors of the last few decades. Just sayin'.
