Micro-News: Master Chief vs Captain America, Marvel's Netflix Shows And TINTIN

Who would win between Halo's Master Chief and Captain America? Find out this February. A Tintin sequel is still happening says Jamie Bell. And the difference between Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Netflix's Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones shows.

Master Chief vs Captain America Marvel Netflix deal

Talking to IGN, actor Jamie Bell said a sequel to the Tintin movie is still happening. "It's being written...I saw Steven [Spielberg] recently, randomly. I bumped into him. I hadn't seen him for awhile, and we were talking. I asked him to sign a Tintin book for me to my unborn son and stuff, and we were talking about it. He was like, 'Yeah, it's happening. It's being written. As soon as Peter [Jackson's] back from Middle-earth, we're going to do it."

Captain America vs Master Chief? Bat in the Sun, the team that gave us Scorpion vs the White Ranger will be back in February with a new superhero battle.

We've had a lot of quotes and tidbits from ABC chief Paul Lee from the 2014 TCA's on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the potential Agent Carter spinoff. One morsel of content that seems to have slipped through the cracks is Lee's comments on the difference between the Marvel programming on ABC and the upcoming Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones shows that will stream on Netflix. THR recapped Lee's comments on the subject, saying ABC's Marvel shows are for a "bigger and broader audience" while the Netflix shows are for the hardcore "super fan". In my mind, that translates, "The Netflix shows are going to be awesome, the ABC shows are watered down in an effort to appeal to the masses." Which is a flawed thought-process as there's certainly nothing watered down about the Marvel Cinematic Universe which is what captured the attention of the masses in the first place.

These Netflix shows have real potential to be great and let's face it, it will probably be the only way we get to see street level heroes considering Marvel is going cosmic right now..

Arrow is the bomb. Considering Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 sucked major ass, I really don't mind the Batman Vs. Superman delay with Arrow and Flash shows to keep us company.

Marvel is definitely owning financially and in world building, but goddamn is Arrow better than anything Marvel right now.

Arrow has a chance to expose new material in a weekly basis of 20 some episodes.
Marvel Studios makes two movies a year

You can't really compare movies to TV episodes

What you CAN compare is AoS to Arrow and Arrow wins by a lot

But I will say AoS is improving, just as Arrow was hated in the first season by a lot so is AoS. I thought Arriw was great in season one but not every one is jumping on the wagon in season two. So just give it time for AoS, with the recent news of who will be appearing and so on AoS is headed in the right direction. Come season 2 it might even reach Arrow levels of excitement

That's going to be great for Netflix but even better for us fans

I hope it becomes very successful and the beginning for more future marvel Netflix shows.
I got a question is daredevil, iron fist, luke cage, and Jessica jones all come out in 2015?

@Dinotron I agree 100%. Although I have enjoyed Arrow through thick and thin some people seem to forget that the first season wasn't as well received as they imagine it to be. There no doubt season 2 is phenomenal but it had a slow albeit intriguing start which a lot of people boycotted. It's the very same reason why I continued to watch AoS and they pay off is here. They fixed a lot of the problems fans pointed out and there is a lot more charcters from the comics being introduced.

@dinotron

Exactly, everyone jumped on the bandwagon for arrow season 2, but talk bad about season 1 and I enjoyed season(except for the huntress episodes).

It seems now this 2nd half of AoS season everyone that was talking bad about it are jumping on the bandwagon too

@ thewonderer,

Yeah, Iron Man 3 sucked so bad that it received high scores from the critics, made over a billion dollars box office AND it's being nominated for an Oscar.

Yeah, awful movie. *rolls eyes*

I don't read it as being watered down for ABC. I read it more as S.H.I.E.L.D. not pushing the envelope too much so that people of all ages can watch it. Let's be honest, if hardcore fans want shows that are true to the comics, the Netflicks shows will have to show some more mature content -- Daredevil and Jessica Jones, specifically. I think the Netflicks deal will allow them to create something that's for more mature audiences.

@thewonderer Are you smoking crack? I loved Thor2 and IM3. You must have walked into the wrong theater or something. I agree with you on one note. Arrow is better than everything Marvel has... On TV.

How the hell does one get the impression that "mass audience" means "Watered down". ALL the Marvel films are made for a mass audience. Do you think the 500,000 so people reading comics are what gave the Avengers and Iron Man 3 billion dollar box office grosses?

He's saying that ABC has a much wider audience than Netflix so SHIELD (as mediocre as it is) is trying to target as many people as possible, while the Netflix shows won't have to since they won't have as many viewers.

Arrow isn't even better than the first 5 seasons of smallville. Both arrow and AoS are designed for little kids.
Sounds like the suicide rate is going to be catastrophic around here when DC casts flash and green arrow for justice league that aren't amell or gustin

I wonder who all will be having guest appearance on Daredevil show?
Moon Knight and Punisher would perfect, also can set up for their own solo shows.

Nova Corps tv show can be like the Star Trek of marvel
