Peter Jackson Hopes To Release THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN Sequel In 2015

2015 is shaping up to be a busy year for CBMs. The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and possibly the Justice League are all looking at 2015 release dates, and now Peter Jackson says he hopes to add The Adventures of Tintin sequel to that list.

Peter Jackson is super busy right now. He is promoting the first installment of The Hobbit, working on putting the finishing touches for the second movie, AND still has to shoot the third movie. Lost in Jackson's busyness is The Adventures of Tintin sequel that he is suppose to helm. For the longest time there have been no updates on the film, until now. While talking on a press tour for The Hobbit, via Bleeding Cool, Jackson is hoping to get the film together for a 2015 release date.

Jackson hopes to be able to shoot the motion capture performances for the film sometime next year. This could prove to be a monumental task seeing as he will be neck deep in editing the next Hobbit movie. Whether or not this schedule will happen or not remains to be seen.

The film will return stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, Andy Serkis as
Captain Haddock, with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thompson and Thompson. There have been some rumors that surfaced a while ago about the story for the sequel combining the story elements of The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of The Sun, but there has been nothing confirmed yet. I really enjoyed the first Tintin movie, and would really enjoy seeing another one. 2015 could be a good year for movies indeed.

I loved the first movie. Can't wit for the next one. In some respects, I consider that more of an Indiana Jones movie than Crystal Skull ever was.

As much as I enjoyed Tin Tin, what I really want is to see movement with the effort to bring Naomi Novik's Temeraire books to the screen. Jackson bought the rights several years ago, and at one time was talking up a TV series (which would be perfect, as long as it's on cable).

I want to see dragons fighting in the Napoleonic Wars!

wtf are you all on about?

the film made $373,993,951 worldwide. even if only about $70Mil of that is from USA, it still is a big hit overall.

you people are getting spoiled with you Avengers, TDKRs, and (soon) Skyfalls breaking the billion dollar mark.
