Peter Jackson is super busy right now. He is promoting the first installment of The Hobbit, working on putting the finishing touches for the second movie,
AND still has to shoot the third movie. Lost in Jackson's busyness is The Adventures of Tintin sequel that he is suppose to helm. For the longest time there have been no updates on the film, until now. While talking on a press tour for The Hobbit, via
Bleeding Cool, Jackson is hoping to get the film together for a 2015 release date.
Jackson hopes to be able to shoot the motion capture performances for the film sometime next year. This could prove to be a monumental task seeing as he will be neck deep in editing the next Hobbit movie. Whether or not this schedule will happen or not remains to be seen.
The film will return stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, Andy Serkis as
Captain Haddock, with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thompson and Thompson. There have been some rumors that
surfaced a while ago about the story for the sequel combining the story elements of The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of The Sun, but there has been nothing confirmed yet. For the latest on the Tintin sequel make sure to check back here at CBM.
