The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Nice....hope we get a loose continuation that's not scared to balls-to-the-wall with the more Cosmic stuff from the Lore though like all the events on Cybertron etc.

Anyway, I'm keeeping my fingers crossed that this movie is good enough to make me forgive the problems in the other two.

@ unionjack bay has gone on record saying that he doesn't like the dinobots and doesn't intend on puting them in his movies. but anyway how would that work with the robots suppose to be in disguise.

warfrost The latest First Class trailer is the best one I've seen. But you can't really call people "fanboys" for wanting to check out TF3. I loved the first movie, thought the second one was retarded, but of course I'm going to give the new one a chance. Bay acknowledges his short-comings with the last film so at least it will be different. And let's not kid ourselves; it has the most incredible FX and CGI ILM has ever done (imo). Transformers is a summer franchise and fun at the theatre. Were lucky that the films are even done on this scale.

But First Class is looking better these days. I think people might be burnt on the whole mutant thing, or at least I was after X-MEN: ORIGINS. The non-mutant heroes like the Avengers characters are really interesting right now. So, we'll see.
