After the trailer debuts for both Transformers: The Last Knight and The Fate of the Furious, 2017 is really shaping up to be the year of betrayal as we saw both Optimus Prime and Dominic Toretto turn their backs on their respective families.

Paramount Pictures & director Michael Bay have just released the first official teaser poster for the upcoming action sequel featuring the former leader of the Autobots, our hero-turned-villain, standing alone atop a rocky shore and looking down at the body of what looks to be Bumblebee. We also catch a look at a massive vessel in the background.

Check out the poster in full hi-resolution below:

Is it just me of they have really stepped their game down on the CGI since DOTM? AoE had some pretty terrible CGI and at times looked like a video game.

I mean, look at this:

The Last Knight looks no different:

@kylo0607 - You know how people on here always complain when the first trailer for a big movie comes out and they complain that the CG looks bad, but then when the movie comes out they've polished and rendered it a few more times and now it looks great? Transformers 4 is like they either forgot or just didn't bother to do those last few renders.

@TheNewGuy123 - I am not complaining about trailers, these are mostly shots from the film itself.

@kylo0607 - Oh, I know. I'm just agreeing with you that the CG in the last one was a massive downgrade, and just didn't look finished.

@TheNewGuy123 - Oh I now looked more carefully in what you wanted to say. Sorry, my mistake.

@kylo0607 - And I don't think the CG in the trailer for Last Knight will be fixed by the time the movie's actually out either.
