The next installment in the Michael Bay-directed multi-billion dollar Transformers franchise has an official title - Transformers: The Last Knight.

No further plot details were divulged, but it's probably a safe bet that the subtitle is a direct reference to Optimus Prime, who we learned in the previous film was a member of the mythical group known as the Knights of Cybertron. It'll be interesting to see what brings the legendary hero back to Earth after we last saw him jetting off into space to confront his Creators.

Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Cade Yeager from Transformers: Age Of Extinction and he'll be joined by franchise newcomers Isabela Moner (Growing Up Fisher) as the film's female lead, Izabella, and Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) in an unspecified leading role. Art Marcum (Iron Man), Matt Holloway (Iron Man), and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) penned the script. Production is expected to start June 6 in Detroit.

Michael Bay doesn't even want to make these [frick]ing things anymore, he literally does not give a [frick] about this franchise, and yet Paramount keeps dragging him back for more. Why?

Transformers 1: Sucked
Transformers 2: Sucked even harder
Transformers 3: Sucked, but not as much as 1 & 2
Transformers 4: The only one I could turn my brain off and have fun with, despite creepy romance subplot.
