If you're a Rick and Morty fan, then you're no doubt used to being patient. The wait between seasons in the past has been agonising, but there's not long to go until a fifth batch of episodes arrives.

Adult Swim has announced that season five of Rick and Morty will premiere on Sunday, June 20th at 11pm ET/PT. The first trailer has also been released, and there's plenty of crazy footage to delve into. Despite the quite sad note things ended on in season four after Rick acknowledged what a terrible father he's been to Beth, it seems family will be key during this season.

It's also been announced that June 20th will be "Rick and Morty Day," a full 24-hour celebration of the show which will see the release of new behind-the-scenes footage, previews of what's to come, and other "special surprises" on TV and across Adult Swim's social media platforms.

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland voices the two title characters, Sarah Chalke plays Beth, Chris Parnell stars as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer voices Summer. Based on the past few years, expect this upcoming fifth season to feature plenty of A-List guest stars as well.
