"It's f*cked up. You're gonna like it."
We'd expect nothing less! Prime Video has announced the official title of the upcoming college-set The Boys spin-off, which will be known as Gen V. The streamer also shared a teaser promo featuring the main cast members introducing themselves and hyping-up the show.
“Gen V is set at America’s only college exclusively for superheroes, run by Vought International," reads the synopsis. “Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”
The Hunger Games reference is interesting - will these young Supes be forced to fight to the death for the chance to earn a spot in The Seven or another top super-team?
Check out the video below.
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers of Gen V. Executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe and Michaela Starr. Brant Engelstein is on board as co-executive producer.
Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair, Shelley Conn, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi.
The season 3 finale of The Boys (you can check out our review here) aired last Friday, and the show has been renewed for a fourth run.
