"It's f*cked up. You're gonna like it."

We'd expect nothing less! Prime Video has announced the official title of the upcoming college-set The Boys spin-off, which will be known as Gen V. The streamer also shared a teaser promo featuring the main cast members introducing themselves and hyping-up the show.

“Gen V is set at America’s only college exclusively for superheroes, run by Vought International," reads the synopsis. “Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”

The Hunger Games reference is interesting - will these young Supes be forced to fight to the death for the chance to earn a spot in The Seven or another top super-team?

Check out the video below.

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers of Gen V. Executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe and Michaela Starr. Brant Engelstein is on board as co-executive producer.

Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair, Shelley Conn, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi.

The season 3 finale of The Boys (you can check out our review here) aired last Friday, and the show has been renewed for a fourth run.

Don't [frick] it up.

Sounds like it has potential to be even better than The Boys.

Getting Superbad/earlier American Pie vibes.

Sounds/looks pretty okay to me. Now's a good time to do this, while the main show is extremely popular. Just hope this'll have a good story, too, not just hot young folks and lots of violence and sex. Although that's probably an okay start...

I'm gonna be honest I'm not that hyped for the show only because I think The Boys is gearing up towards it's final season after the next season.

Lost interest in this after they inexplicably recast my girl (along with others).

@Nightmare - She seems familiar but I can't put my finger on where I could've possibly seen her before.

@Nightmare - NVM, it's Reina Hardesty. I recognized her from The Flash's Weather Witch.

A little ironic that the superhero show that criticizes spin-offs and such eventually ended up doing it's own Vought Cinematic Universe too. (Maybe a "Boys Cinematic Universe" would sound better since Vought are the bad guys. BCU > VCU?)

I am gonna keep an eye out for the characters of Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo because I liked them in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Also I got to say it, that's quite a long list of executive producers attached to it.
