THE BOYS PRESENTS: DIABOLICAL Unveils Official Premiere Date & Bloody First Teaser

We first heard about a new The Boys animated anthology series late last year, and Amazon has now announced that the spinoff will premiere this March. We also have a gory first teaser promo...

The Boys won't be back in town for their highly-anticipated third season until June, but we'll get to revisit the violent, hilarious world inhabited by Billy Butcher and co. on March 4 when all eight episodes of The Boys Presents: Diabolical hit Amazon Prime.

The animated anthology series is set to expand the "Vought Cinematic Universe" with original stories by Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot and Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, Aisha Tyler, and more. Each episode will run 12-14 minutes and highlight its own animation style, while revealing "unseen stories within The Boys universe.”

The streamer has also debuted a first teaser, which introduces us to the adorable Laser Baby (we assume you don't need an explanation?). There's a chance this is the same nipper Butcher discovered in the Vought nursery back in season 1, but it could be another supe baby with devastating heat-vision powers. The promo ends with a logo reveal as Terror the bulldog... does what dogs do!

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is executive produced by Simon Racioppa, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Garth Ennis, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Loreli Alanís, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, and Ben Kalina.

The voice cast has yet to be announced, but we'll keep you posted.

Adults find this funny? Like a baby sneezing and using heat vision to butcher soldiers then a guy slips into the corpses.... someone wrote that and pitched it and someone else laughed and told them to animate it.... and people will sit at home and watch this shit and laugh.... I don't get it.

This shit isn't clever... its not inventive... its not interestingly animated.... what is the [frick]ing appeal? Gross gore is funny? Hyper violence without context is enjoyable?

Some psycho ass people out there.

Is there anybody to actually root for in The Boys? I watched the first season of it and thought, "Wow. Every character in this Universe is an asshole!" Then I started watching the second season and couldn't finish it. I felt like there's absolutely no one in the show I could completely get behind. There's nobody pure and noble and inspiring and heroic in this entire universe. There are no "good guys" vs "bad guys" because they're all pretty much garbage. Yes, I get that's the point of both the comic and the show. But if it's just hour after hour of horrible people doing horrible things to other horrible people, in the end what's the point? I would like to like this show because it's an interesting take on the superhero genre. But when there's not one likeable or "rootable" character (if that's even a word), it's a hard sell for me. That's all.

Is this really what we are getting? Looks like looney toons hijinks type bs. I love the boys for it’s absurdity but I’m not a child who still sits and watches animaniacs or Ren & Stimpy. I hope I’m wrong but this looks like dogshit

This is kind of disappointing. I was expecting an animated drama like Invincible, not edgy Looney Tunes.
