Following what's being hailed by many as the strongest Season 2 episode of The Boys so far, a brief promo for next week's penultimate chapter, "Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker," has been released online.

After the incendiary events of "The Bloody Doors off," Homelander and his new "girlfriend" Stormfront pay a little visit to Becca and Ryan, and it looks like the increasingly more psychotic leader of The Seven is going to attempt to worm his way into his son's life by presenting him with a new family dynamic.

Homelander knows that simply killing Becca or removing her from the situation would turn Ryan against him forever, and he seems to think introducing Stormfront as some kind of maternal replacement will do the trick. Something tells us the lad won't be too thrilled at the prospect of his loving mother being switched out for a mass-murdering fascist, but who knows - he does have Homelander's blood running through his veins after all.

Check out the preview below, and let us know what you though of this week's episode in the comments.

News broke last night that a spinoff of The Boys is being fast-tracked at Amazon, and you can find out more about that HERE.

These last 2 episodes have been intense, I love it. I swear Black Noir hunting them and them being stuck in the hospital felt like horror movies

I really like how they handled Lamplighter in this episode. They could have made him another one dimensional villain but they went much more complex and I actually found myself hoping that Mallory wouldn’t shoot him when an episode ago - I would be begging for it.

Krimpke and co. are doing the best job with this season.

It was a neat episode.

Frenchie put some of his demons to rest for now by surprisingly forgiving a little bit what Lamplighter did, yet he is not interested in forgiving himself. At least he and Kimiko are getting better.

Felt bad for Lamplighter, he is now then second Supes that is trying to atone for his actions after Maeve. The logical conclusion is that he will be their 2nd mole at Sage Grove and keep them updated regarding how the experiments on stabilizing Compund V are proceeding. I wonder if Edgar is aware of these or if it's Stormfront's agenda.

I wonder if by the end Mallory is aware as well of the real reason why Frenchie failed in keeping tabs on Lamplighter that night which led to her grandkids dying? Or is it a "one revelation at a time" in this case?

Speaking of Maeve, called it that she requested Deep's help to find the plane's black box. TBH she should waste no time and send it to CNN and all news outlets before it is too late.

The Church of the Collective are slowly rising in their quest to infiltrate Vought and The Seven. I can see them having more presence in Season 3, depending what happens now that they are interacting with A-Train.

Butcher sported a combed hair style in the flashbacks compared to the present where he is disheveled.

He and Starlight have a long way to go, not with his hatred for Supes leaking out. The only thing that makes them be on the same page is Hughie's well being and feeling he's too good to be with either of them.

I hope once he wakes up he can offer Annie some words of comfort after she accidentally killed that person. He gets her and she needs it.

Always heard and read that Starlight was bulletproof and was invulnerable, well, the opening scenes with her tracking chip being removed proves it. And it must surely apply to all the other Supes if Cindy also was able to withstand the bullets on her back.

MM after this episode will be like "what happens in Sage Grove stays in Sage Grove ".

Stormfront's goal finally is and it appeals to Homelander's narcissistic ego. I wonder if Edgar is aware of her origins and agenda or just a pawn.

If the content of the black box's fails to destroy Homelander's image then The Boys could try to expose all of what Stormfront just said: how Vought has roots in nazism and who Frederick Vought was.

And how did Cindy got away from the facility? She was knocked out by Stormfront from further causing more damage.

All good points.

Cindy looks weird, her shoulders or something, can’t quite figure it out.

Was the acid puke guy also the “grow those back” guy from The Last Stand?

Poor MM. I hope Frenchie never lets him forget.
