New Image From Next Episode Of THE WALKING DEAD Hints At Iconic Comic Book Moment

By now, it's clear that AMC's adaptation of The Walking Dead is taking The Governor in a very different direction to his comic book counterpart. However, this still from Sunday's episode may give us an idea as to what's to come, and it's a VERY iconic scene from the Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard series!

In the comic books, The Governor's final attack on the prison saw him crash through the walls with a tank. Many of Rick's group died during this assault - including Lori - and it's the moment that many fans of the series have anxiously been waiting for. Well, as you can see from the image above, it appears as if he's about to get his hands on the weapon he needs to take the fight to the prison and its inhabitants very soon! Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.

I haven't read the comics but I'm guessing that tank isn't exactly a good sign for the prison....

great show/story/comic book. too bad they cast mono-faced Andrew licoln for the main part...what a waste...I keep watching it for the other actors though. Quite a talented bunch there

I think they're going to keep The Governor for as long as they can. They'll not going to kill him off anytime soon. The show's so different now from the comic books its exciting to see where this is heading.

Remember the zombie crowd? Alot of them will enter the prison and the gov will help Rick & Friends with his tank and shout the line "Kill them all".

I am glad the show is deviating from the comic book. Why in the hell would I want to watch something that I knew exactly what was going to happen? I would do just as good sticking to the comics if I wanted that. I like that now the stories have the fans guessing.

When I saw the Governor all scraggly with a beard and long hair, I though he was going to look more like the Governor from the comics from then on. Then he got rid of them...

Yes he has the tank. We saw it in the previews for the next episode. I am hyped to see the next episode.

So that's why everyone is freaking out about the tank. Cool.
