Even though TellTale Games will continue to publish episodes centered around Lee Everett, Activision will publish a first-person action video game focusing around famous brothers Merle and Daryl Dixon. The game will explore what happened before meeting up with the survivors in Atlanta.

Being developed by Terminal Reality, the game is being described as a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.” Players will have the much-awaited opportunity to control Daryl Dixon as they avoid detection from walkers that use scent, sound and sight to spot you while successfully trying to make your way to Atlanta.

The players will have a lot of control as they can decide whether or not to fight the zombies and waste possible ammunition, or just simply sneak by them. In the game, players will have to carefully manage food and ammunition during the trip to Atlanta. This sounds a lot like zombie-epic video game Dead Island. Much like TellTale Games' The Walking Dead, you will encounter "a slew of characters". Should you trust these characters? Should you take them with you for the ride? That is completely up to you.

Ok. I'm kind of excited. I've played the telltale games and they're ok, but would love something along the lines of Resident Evil (first person is awesome tho!)as far as the type of game play goes and I'd rather it be Rick Grimes and, like the telltale games, the choices you make affect the ultimate outcome. But...I am pretty picky as far as The Walking Dead goes.

@Dpool-I hear ya man! Same here!
