After bowing out at the end of season seven and heading off with The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) to reunite with her long lost husband Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), it sounds like fans will get to see that reunion realized on-screen as Amell has confirmed today that Emily Bett Rickards will reprise her role as Felicity Smoak for the series finale of
Arrow, which is expected to air on January 28, 2020.
Considering that The Monitor made it clear in the seventh season finale that there was no return from wherever he was taking her, it seems quite possible her scene(s) in the finale may only be with Amell, although that's just speculation for now as filming for the finale just got underway yesterday.
While she will appear in the series finale, titled "Fadeout," she is not one of the many special guest stars expected to appear in the upcoming five-part "Crisis on Infinite Earths" mega-crossover.
On another note, Rick Gonzalez
revealed late last night that Joe Dinicol will also return for the series finale as Rory Regan, a.k.a. Ragman. He initially appeared in a recurring capacity in season five and returned for a cameo last season.
