So, what did you guys think of Deadshot (played by actor Michael Rowe)? And what about that little tease of Black Canary?

DC COMICS' VILLAIN DEADSHOT SETS HIS SIGHTS ON ARROW — Oliver is surprised when someone shoots and kills one of his targets. As his plan is to bring people to justice vs. outright killing them, Oliver doesn't appreciate the help and searches for the gunman. He soon learns that the man, Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe), is taking out businessmen who are scheduled to bid at an auction on an energy company and Walter is one of the bidders. Realizing he can’t protect his family and stop Deadshot at the same time, Oliver enlists Detective Lance's help, but his plan has dire consequences. Meanwhile, Laurel and Tommy get caught in an awkward situation with Oliver. Willa Holland, David Ramsey and Susanna Thompson also star. Guy Bee directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Andrew Kreisberg.

And here's a promo for next week's episode 1x04 titled An Innocent Man.

should have had more deadshot. he had better come back. that ending was more anti-climactic than Bane getting shot in TDKR

@hellsboy- I live on the west coast so it hasn't played here yet. but are you POSITIVE he only had ONE line???

From the teaser it seemed like he had at least 2 lines- "I will kill you and your family" and of course "I admire your work"

If only one line, then that is [frick]ing stupid of the writing staff

He had more than one line but he definitely stayed in the periphery. They used him sparingly so that he can come back for a future ep.

Honestly, this was horrible episode IMO. The character story continues to be great as we explore the cast and their motives/background but the "Lone Gunman" story was just terrible. Deadshot was boring, the poison was cliché and the island flashback was horribly intercut and pointless. Really disappointed.

Ollie revealing his identity to Digs was cool however. Looking forward to see how that plays out.

Needed more Deadshot, but the episode was still good.

Can't wait til Episode 5, "Damages" to see Deathstroke.

@misner89- Doubt they'll ever put Deadshot in his costume. Smallville avoided it and so did Arrow. Which is sad. I always loved his costume. They could easily adapt it to a real world setting- just darken the color tones of the suit, maybe a darker red and yellow. Hell if they wanted they could even go with his "Arkham City" look.

@LP4 That would be amazing if they went with a dark tone just like the show has been but hey if they wantted to go with the arkham city look that would be even more badass

LP4 - 10/24/2012, 7:49 PM
@misner- I totally agree with you man, I LOVED his Arkham City look. But eh.

I really thought THAT would be what he'd get in Arrow but instead...we just got a regular guy with oversized eyepiece. =(

Really liked this episode. Thought it was cool that Dig finally knows Oliver is Green Arrow. I think Thea will be the next to find out. It would be neat to see - later in the series - Oliver training Thea to be his sidekick (Speeeedy). And I had no idea Felicity Smoak was in the comics :P

It just started here in the PST zone. For some reason the music is coming through but not the dialogue. Guess I better brush up on my lip reading.

Am I the only one who thought Deadshot's death was really anti-climax?

The episode was ok. But Deadshot looked like garbage. How hard would it have been to give him a ski mask, size down that eyepiece and give him a trench coat?

Leave it to CW to frick up Deadshot twice... smh. I like the show but is anyone else annoyed with the guy playing Queen. I really hope they make him more of a hero. At least this episode we didn't see him murder anyone

He had 3 lines, and he was [frick]ing rubbish. He wasn't even a good shot! Just randomly shooting the crap out of party guests until he hits his target? Really wasted opportunity there I think. If he comes back fair enough but they still should have used him more in the dam ep named after him.

Still, all in all I did actually enjoy the ep. The characters have grown on me a bit more and script seems tighter. Still a lot of problems but not bad.

I thought tonight's episode was good. It wasn't action packed like last week & I wish Deadshot would have got more face time. I also like Dinah kicking some ass! I thought of Black Canary. Overall, it was a good episode.

I wish we saw more of Deadshot, I feel he didn't get his dues. And since I'm pretty sure you can't come back from an arrow through the eye socket I was a little disappointed there. Otherwise, I'm loving the show!

@ RorMachine it was stated that his targets were everyone betting in that auction (other than the guy who hired him/got arrested), not just the father-in-law. Also enjoying the action, nice to see agility in fight scenes again :p Deadshot worked as a character serving the story rather than the story serving the character. Hope the improving keeps going, c'mon Deathstroke!

Another great episode. The story is what matters most and they keep having great stories each episodes. As each episode progresses, everyone is getting comfortable in their roles and the acting is getting really great. Even Amell is getting better at doing the voice-overs.

I am liking the Diggle character and the actor that is playing him. Hope we get to see more of Diggle past and learn about his brother death and why he has chosen the profession.
