Arrow continues to deliver its Wednesday night comic book goodness as it moves through season 2 plot at a blistering place. It wouldn't have surprised me if the trial for Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson) had lasted all season long but just seven episodes deep into season 2, we've already got a verdict. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) was great as well, delivering a nice "Markovia" reference for The Count (Seth Gabel) and even delivering a tender moment with Oliver (Stephen Amell) that left many people thinking "Olicity" is definitely going to happen at some point. The only weak element of the episode was the scene between Roy (Colton Haynes) and Thea (Willa Hollans) where he tells her to start hitting him to work off her pent up frustration. That's a trope that's been done plenty of times before on tv but it was rather clumsily handled. Still, weird punching and melodramatic music aside, the scene bluntly hammered home how much Roy cares about her.
Jumping back to the trial, everyone seemed shocked that Moira was found Not Guilty. Was it Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro) working behind the scenes? The character has something of a history with brainwashing and hypnotism. And if it was Blood, was he acting on the behest of

Malcolm Merlyn who was revealed to be alive and well. His comment seemed to hint that he's back in play thanks to a certain Lazarus Pit. And what of the revelation that Thea is really Maclom's daughter? Makes her whole first season crush on Tommy (Collin O'Donnell) really creepy in hindsight.] There's also a lot of chatter that the super power drug Miracle may lead to an introduction of Solomon Grundy but that seems like a big reach at this juncture. We'll find out when
Arrow returns, not next week, but the week after.
Also, really like what they did with Slade's (Manu Bennet) face!
"Oliver (Stephen Amell) is concerned when a mysterious illness sweeps the city, infecting hundreds of people, including Diggle (David Ramsey). Oliver discovers Vertigo in Diggle’s blood and realizes The Count (guest star Seth Gabel) has broken out of prison and is once again distributing his drug. Meanwhile, Moira (Susanna Thompson) goes on trial for her participation in the Undertaking. ADA Adam Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) collapses in court with Vertigo symptoms so Laurel (Katie Cassidy) must step in and try the case against Moira.
