"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

Whoa... They're really determined to establish connections between the 2 shows. If think that Felicity will still return at the end of this season - we'll probably get vague hints about what she saw of Barry, but it'll all be explained in his pilot.

Here's a thought: get Emily Bett Rickards to leave Arrow and star in Flash as Iris West. Not gonna happen, I know, but a guy can only dream...

@COREYxYEROC Yeah, it's overkill. It's like, "Oh, the fans like that. We should do that every scene."

Its kinda pointless to tease this relationship cause every comic book fan knows he's gonna end up with Laurel. Felicity's gonna end up dying or some shit.

She is smoking hot. I don't care which show she is on as long as I get to see her. Great show and I can't wait to see the Flash kick some ass! One of the best DC has to offer

@Kurne-I thought in some other article u mentioned Arrow lowering ur expectations for other CBTVs...?

So Central City might be featured in Arrow. That's cool. I'm still looking forward to The Flash tv show. I hope we get to see 'Captain Cold' as a villain on the show.

@AutoFreak

I don't remember those exact words, but in a sense yes, Arrow has lowered my expectations for Comic Book shows (related to DC properties). I've ranted before about The CW being the main issue. I still can't believe they're trying to create a TV universe on The CW out of all networks.... I really do hope that this whole fiasco about Arrow connecting to MoS is just wishful thinking from fans.

Look as good a comic book show that Arrow is, it's not a good show in general as far as television series go (so far).

@Kurne

The issue with Smallville and Arrow is the CW writing. It has always been that way. They make it too much about tween angst and give the actors horrible lines. Arrow is definitely leaps and bounds better than Smallville but they still have that annoying and verbose style of writing in certain scenes.

I feel you. Which is why I wish there can be an entire television DC universe. Imagine tuning in every week to watch your favourite heroes come to life for 5+ seasons, rather than waiting every two to three years for a 2-3hr movie. Joygasm!!!

@BruceWayneNation

I have noticed that they're trying their best to steer away from the teenage drama, definitely, but it all could have been avoided from the beginning if they didn't alter Thea and shove her into the Queen family... I mean now look at the recent episodes - we're going to have to deal with Roy, Thea and Sin being the typical "rebellious teenagers" that I'm sure CW audiences love (which you and I and hopefully others hate :P).

Arrow is better than Walking Dead?I hate zombies but that's crazy talk.FAR superior acting on Walking Dead.Damn there REALLY needs to be more Comic shows because I think everyone loves Arrow because it's all there is.It is NOT that good

@shangho

Anyone insane enough to compare Stephen Amell to Andrew Lincoln seriously needs to be checked out. However, as much as I hate to admit it, Arrow has a better supporting cast (characters really).

@Kurne, quiet as it is kept, Stephen Amell is 3 nominations short of having the same accolades as Andrew Lincoln in a shorter career span.

You kidding me? Andrew Lincoln's acting is all the show has left. Not even Daryl's fan base controls the show as much as people think.

It's definitely not better than Walking Dead, but that's an unfair comparison.

As far as Networks go, Arrow is amazing and one of the best shows out there right now.

I say bring on the CW DC Universe.

Also, Walking Dead is garbage from head to toe. Slow pace and shit-tier characters.

If you're gonna compare it to something, try Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones or House of Cards.

Those are tv shows.

Also, it's funny to see Comic Book Fans trashing CW's writing.

Seriously, you guys?

Comic Books is literature's redhead retarded little brother who eats his own boogers.

I know, I'm just talking about the quality of writing.

TV and Comics are both serialized medium, and as much as I love Superheroes, I have to admit, man:

Most of the stuff DC and Marvel put out on a monthly basis makes the stuff CW does worthy of Academy Awards.
Freek
Freek - 1/8/2014, 6:30 AM
@Kurne-so it is not a good show in general, you say?
What then makes it a good show to you, then?
For the record, I don't mean to start an immature argument, just a subtle conversation
Kurne
Kurne - 1/8/2014, 6:36 AM

Well because I'm lazy I will only name "good shows" rather than explain :P -

Breaking Bad
GOT
Boardwalk Empire
Sopranos
LOST (yes... :P)
The Wire
The Shield
Justified

And so on. I'm not going to get down on my knees and beg the people behind Arrow to make it golden/perfect considering that they've accomplished a lot anyway, but I was just sayin'...

Most of the stuff on your list are Cable shows, tho, and I think that 'Arrow' is better than 'Lost'.

'Lost'(Much like 'Heroes') had an amazing First Season. Everything after that was just crap.
