God damn i already spent all my Laurel hate on another post, i have more but i don't want to give you guys impression that i am just about hating one thing.

Hell, I eventually started to sympathize with Skyler White (if for no other reason than just pity), so it's probably not impossible to turn Laurel around. That said: yeah, they should have just killed her off ages ago. It's like they actively wanted to make the audience hate her during most of season 2, then suddenly: "nevermind, she's okay now, so like her".

For a while at least, Skyler and Laurel had the same problem: Nagging bitches. Honestly they both sort of turned that around, for me at least, when they found out the truth. I don't hate Laurel at this point.

also katie isn't a bad actress, they just gave her practically nothing to work with so far and the directing hasn't been helping her either, but if anyone has bad acting skills in this show is probably caity lotz and/or colton haynes. especially colton. but it works out for both of them because they don't really have characters with a lot of range.

I was sort of checked out by the time Laurel learned the truth, so the details are hazy in my head about how she reacted/changed. My problem with Laurel is that she seemed to always be doing the opposite thing to what a normal/intelligent human being would do. She loved the vigilante when he was killing people, then suddenly hated him for not saving her boyfriend (even though a reasonable person would assume he tried to), then her constant flipping on Blood and her father and how she became this entitled dragon bitch for a stretch there when she was drinking. Even at the end, I remember her blackmailing her boss for some reason.

It's just like she pushes and steps on everyone around her constantly (occasionally with good motives, but mostly for bad or none at all), as an agent of horrible soul-draining whiny self-important chaos.

Skyler White did the infuriating things she did out of ignorance, bitterness, frustration, and fear, and at every step of the way I understood why she was doing them, even when I thought it was clearly a mistake (from her perspective as well as from a broader one).

Laurel just seems to do things.

Well yes, but I think they ended season 2 in a good position to "right her wrongs" so to speak. Laurel honestly can't get any worse, she already hit rock bottom and is on the upswing. We'll see though. For all I know they'll [frick] it up and she'll be worse than ever. I'm just saying that right now, I see potential for Laurel.
